The UK, has anything really changed since 76?

I was 9 in 76, 18 in 85, I remember skinheads, the London race riots, the National Front and the anti nazi league (to which i belonged) we were Antifa on roids. I was bored at work today so I found this.

Brexiteers, Eric Clapton and Morrisey. I put it to you young uns that the world runs in cycles or the uk certainly does. After trying to take from the rich, a depression led to immigration being used to explain why people were poor in the UK, cue Thatcher, cue Enoch powells return, after great corruption from the Tories, homophobia, racism, cue Blair. A global financial crash and depression after an illegal war led to... You guessed it, its all the fault of immigration and foreigners, cue, Farrage, cue brexit, cue Tory corruption, cue a return to the poverty of the 70's. I predict next Labour, rinse, cycle repeat. My answer Guillotines, it worked for the French.

Rant over!

The UK has grown evermore tolerant than it was in the 70s. The people of today who you describe are the same people from the 70s. If anything, they've just got more of a voice because most of them are retired now and have nothing more to do than complain.

Kinda like you. 😛

Although, there is something you've neglected to mention. In my experience, it seems single mothers are rising and marriage has declined. Would you say that's a good thing?

Food banks are back, people dort poor, power cuts are coming, diphtheria has made a come back, inflation is rampant. Sounds like the Tories till north Sea oil saved Thatcher.

Wasn't that the Tories plan in the first place? Fracking and North Sea oil? We've left the EU and should have gone with the plan but COVID ****ed it all up.

That's a terrible plan on so many levels.

I dunno about single moms but my impression is that a lot of western countries are seeing the decline in marriage.

I'm not sure if that's a good thing by itself, seems arbitrary. But probably it's a result of good things? Less social pressure to marry, fewer women whose lives depend on finding a guy to marry.

As someone who has been married and is married. I genuinely believe relationships rarely last forever. I just think people were once more prepared to compromise and live their life for others or in misery. That said, men snd women often just left in the past, is it me or do you hear less of that now?

Aye. The Queen's deid.

Thatcher's Deid

Ding dong etc.

As someone's whose entire UK experience has been having a stop at Heathrow airport, not once, but twice, I can say "no".

How are the whorehouses?
