He appears to be a peak-human / sort of enhanced, depending on who he is writing him, iirc.
Some on-panel statements would be nice.

Yeah sometimes I see him being smashed through walls (or smashing people through walls), other times he's hitting speedsters etc....is this just a 'he's been alive a long time, so has these skills'?

I feel that whatever grants him his "immortality" (DC can't make up their minds on what the source of it should be, exactly), also grants him enhanced physicals.
