Achilles vs. Geralt

Achilles vs. Geralt

Pure swordfight. No potions or powers for Geralt.

Achilles has his sword and shield, Geralt has his longsword.
Assume their weapons and armor are made of similar materials.

Fight takes place in a gladiator arena.

Is this Achilles from the movie Troy? If so, Geralt destroys him.

Why?

Why?
achilles is faster and more skilfull, I agree FB without other abilities, Achilles owns. Now Achilles vs the GOT snake guy, that's a fight.

Seriously :'😉

Geralt would destroy both. Why? First of all he has magic. No major spells, but still enough to whoop these guys. Fire blasting, Shockwaves, energy shielding. And if he's taken the potion, his stats get enhanced quite a bit. Enough to defeat monsters with superhuman stats.

Achilles barely defeated Hector.

Geralt never looks that skilled on screen and struggles a lot. Hector is faster and more skilfull to.

Might want to read the OP again.

So Geralt is nerved to the point where he is barely a Witcher anymore...

Just want to point out that Geralt struggled against Renfri too.

^^^You realize you often do the same thing, right? ermm

On topic, leaning towards Achiles.

I only nerf if people say the match is onesided otherwise.

To be fair, allowing Geralt potions and magic would make this a fairly one-sided match. But even without those, Geralt still has enhanced stats plus is a master swordsman. You make it sound like he's completely helpless without his potions and powers.

Um, might want to also watch Troy again, Achilles controlled that fight start to finish. Achilles even gave Hector a free chance to regain himself.

Now Hector's a great fighter despite the above, he was just vastly outmatched.

"Struggled" is a strong word, he was clearly dominating the fight and gave her multiple chances to give up, it was him letting his guard down that allowed her to land any hits at all.

Also you act as if Renfri isn't a crazy skilled swordsman on her own.

He got wounded several times by Renfri. And yes, she was a skilled swordsman. So was Hector.

Yes he was wounded, that doesn't mean he was going all-out. (I didn't see your response so I'm responding now, I apologize.)
