Loved his work on x-men
Then as the years passed, I stopped collecting comics. Now while Green Lantern: Rebirth #1-6 in 2004 led me to KMC... it was actually Captain America vol.4 #1-6 in 2002 with John Cassaday's art that made me a comics fan/collector again.
IMHO, Cassaday's artwork on Cap rivalled, if not exceeded, his artwork on Whedon's Astonishing X-Men. Marvel editorial has since tried to ignore John Ney Rieber's work on it but just look at how Captain America was portrayed before 2002 and after 2002. The design of Cap's helmet became much more like a a military helmet and the design of Cap's armor became dedicated scale armor once John Cassaday portrayed him.
It's a visual interpretation of Cap that has carried on for two+ decades in comics. Such an irreplaceable loss to comics...

quitting anti-depressant cold turkey is no joke. especially since my brain chemistry is permanently altered. now it's going haywire, any tiny anxiety in my brain will trigger me go crazy and flip out. what i do to cope is actually reading comic book and manga. i need a vpn, can't view shit in china. can't even get on google. this is priority number one.
