To this day my favorite ongoing run of all time is The Incredible Hulk by Peter David. He wrote comics at a time during the most formulative years for me. He defined my idea of Aquaman, Hulk, Supergirl (I will still prefer Linda Danvers over Kara Zor-El), Ka-Zar, and so many more. His non-comic book series, Sir Apropos of Nothing, is one of my favorite book series. I have loved just about everything he has ever written.
His ailing has been on my radar for quite a long time, and it was something I genuinely admonished the comics industry for when it comes to not taking care of the people who have done so much service for them. It is truly a shame he died at such a young age. He will truly be missed.
