They're probably trolling you, don't take them seriously. Anyone with half a brain should know deleting a popular megathread on purpose doesn't add up.
Either they're gas lighting you or they're hopelessly dense and not worth engaging.

If you need a game recommendation, 2016 Prey is about the most fun I've had on any game this gen, imagine a System Shock 2 remake done right. The "Play your way" isn't just a meme on this one, you can do things like use alien powers to turn into an animated cup and sneak inside a wire grated window, use a foam dark gun to fire through that window at a security monitor and unlock a door, or use hacking skills to hack the keypad. The amount of freedom is insane, and it's all fun as heck.
