Hollow Knight is a legendary game.
But the hard bosses are waaaay too hard. All that struggling against ridiculous bosses just gets old, I got absolutely nothing from beating Nightmare King Grimm, was just glad tp get it over with. An entire pantheon boss rush, **** that.
The game hooks you on everything else, the art design, and atmosphere, the lore. Had fun just wandering around.
I think a lot of people felt this way, but no one wants to admit they couldn't "git gud". In the end it's about having fun though, not about impressing some internet people on Reddit.
Just occurred to me, Adventure Time kind of turned down the same path as Ippo did.
It started out being about Finn, but near the end it became about everyone else BUT Finn. Ice King, Princess B, Marceline, even The Lich get full arcs of their own, while Finn kind of becomes background noise.
Yeah, there was his dad and mom, but tbh they were kind of weak. Islands in general was just OK.
Basically Finn had the saddest ending, he blew it with Flame Princess, couldn't get past B who he never had a shot with even when they looked the same age, his best friend and uber slacker Jake became married with six kids, even Ice King gets his act together thanks to his wife.
Honestly, Finn is more pathetic then Lumpy Space Princess.
Granted, Billy actually died in a way unbefitting of his legend, and then was promptly forgotten about by the show, but at least he had a legend. No blaze of glory, bur everyone knows the ballad of Billy.

Sometimes you wonder how smart dogs really are. Normally she has this goofy grin on her face, or a tired look if she wants to relax, but every once in awhile she'll glance up at me with this poker face, her eyes with a bright light behind them. Usually when I start ranting about politics or act goofy just to be goofy.
You wonder if she's thinking "Man, my masters a lunatic."
