I ask because I've been watching Youtube unboxings of used junk selling for 400 dolars that are full of dirt of shite. Used game controllers are selling for 40-60 dollars, it's insane. In a real market you get variations, price wars and such, but that just doesn't exist now.
Remember Funcoland? They were buying up old NES games for 30 cents and reselling for 10 dollars, same principle. I bet it's all one group of scalpers, probably with a good amount of outright stolen product on top of trade ins.
