I use Discord frequently (as it's super convenient for quickly connecting with friends in other countries) and am active on a dozen or so servers, and the vast majority of the people on the servers I use lean strongly to the Left and many of those servers are, in fact, safe spaces for marginalised communities.
Absolutely, I'd not blame something like Discord, it's a neutral canvas and what people make of it, unlike a platform like Gab which catered to be a Rightist cesspool.

I do remember, we even had several Rightist here who carried Putin's water for four years, some made pro Russian threads. This very thread at the beginning has some.
