Finally saw Scream 4

I put off seeing it because back then and still now everything was a stupid remake of previous generation films and that's still going on.

Having said that, it's as good as the original 3 and that's probably because it was Wes Craven directing it. Nobody knows how to do his films like the man himself. Infact, you could argue 2 and 3 were remakes as the themes of the films are parodying all the clichés and then breaking them. They even break their own rules ffs and I'm glad I watched it.

Now, like the originals, there are deliberate cringe moments so it would be unnecessary to even criticise. However, I'm glad to see the old cast come back.

I don't think I've seen past 3. And it's been probably 20 years since I've seen any of them..

Maybe for Halloween some year I'll revisit them...

They are okay, but anything beyond the first movie isn't anything really special. Watched the fourth movie mostly because there wasn't anything special to watch, expected nothing from it, but it was alright.

It's odd how nowadays, horrors are like comedies, comedies are like toilet trash and fantasies are borderline softcore porn.
