Lol, I wouldn't expect the superhero phase to be over. Still got James Gunn's plans.

Probably just more and more desperate attempts to rekindle them.

And as Christopher Nolan said recently, a healthy industry needs the big blockbusters to help fund the lesser films.

Scorsese while having a go at the superhero genre also praised Christopher Nolan movies about "Saving Movies"

Nolan did the Batman Trilogy, So jokes on Scorsese.

Scorsese is just generally clueless about this stuff... and admitted so himself.

Doubt it. There's too few talented people in Hollywood these days, for the majority of mainstream movies to be good. It will most likely continue as it has, over the last ten years with the few talented directors out there (Eggers, Nolan, Aster etc) making good films, and the rest being cookie cutter garbage.
