Apparently Martin Scorsese is going to do another Jesus movie, but it's mostly "present day"?

That sounds cringy AF, but hey, the man did one of my all-time favorite films, The Last Temptation of Christ, so I'll try to keep an open mind...

Did I see something about Scorsese pulling him out of retirement? I didnt know it was for this..

There was a TV show in the UK called The 2nd Coming about Jesus in modern times and it was absolutely tremendous. It's a good 20 odd year old now but if you can find it somewhere I suggest giving it a watch. Here's a clip.

Not sure if it's being played as comedy or if I've just watched/read too much Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy lately... 😕

That's just the guy's Manchester personality. There's some very dark stuff in it. People with silver eyes who are possessed by demons. It's written by the showrunner who relaunched Dr Who and this show was why Christopher Eccleston got the role as the first Dr Who in the new shows.

It's just two parts. I'll look for it.

I'm seeing reports that this starts filming in April.
