I disagree with this being a one shot. You're completely ignoring Carol's invulnerability. She's well above what she was when she fought Namora, as the buff comes later. Classic Rogue got her durability from Carol. Carol is currently more or less as powerful in her base form as she was in her classic Binary form. Her Binary form these days would be overkill.
Marvel has made Carol a flagship character. Like I said, she's stronger than classic Thor currently.
