Longlegs (2024) Nicolas Cage

Loved this. Cage was great, he was barely recognizable under all the prosthetics, but still a vintage outrageous Nic Cage performance. The female lead was great too. Excellent movie all the way around.

I really, really want to see this.

See it! It’s definitely worth a trip to the theater

Found time to see it, liked it, didn't love it.

Great filmmaking for sure, and performances. The writing wasn't super amazing, though.

Nicolas Cage's performance is... Well, mesmerizing for sure. I did find myself laughing a couple times at the Nic Caginess of it, though.

Oh, and I need to gripe about the current Theater experience. It's turned to shit. So they apparently aren't trying too hard to get people into theaters...

1. My matinee price was $14.09. Wtf. What is the normal price?? Jesus, $17.35. Just a normal, non 3D showing. Nothing special, no bells and whistles.
2. There used to be 15 minutes of trailers/ads. Now it was a full 30 minutes past showtime that the movie actually starts. Wtf.

And just a thing that is bothering me more and more: poor contrast ratio on projection screens. This really needs an upgrade, because I can get a better image at home and f#cking buy the movie for about the same price.

I really wanted to see Maxxxine, too, but with all this I'm definitely waiting.
