Who's more evil???

Darkseid
Joker
Frieza
Thanos

Darkseid

mrmind shits all over these goody two shoes

-Darkseid/Joker
-Thanos/Freeza

Darkseid has been established as being some kind of abstract incarnation of evil itself, hasn't he? Like, any time any evil act occurs in the multiverse it empowers him or something.

Yeah, it definitely seems to be the implication

Although it seems he's still nothing compared to the Great Darkness/Great Evil Beast.

Yeah. In recent DC, it seems the Great Darkness is at the apex beings(arguably, only the Light seems to be its equal)

Though, GEB seems more a neutral force than a "full-evil" incarnation character

Darkseid is the only character that's 100% evil by virtue of being the God of Evil, at the very least if we go by Williamson's interpretation of the character. Evil Buu and Kid Buu--although they're not part of the thread--could be placed here as since they're pure evil as well; having exorcised their good part.

Frieza, Joker, and Thanos would be difficult to compare because they're evil for different reasons and they're very different characters in general. Thanos' behavior is calculated, Frieza's does whatever he feels like, and Joker's is seemingly random.

The Great Darkness isn't evil, it's the absence of everything including evil. Hence why Darkseid sought to fight it.

"The absolute enemy of existence is also the enemy of evil!" - Darkseid

- Justice League Incarnate #4

What I meant was he was nothing in comparison in regards to power/importance/status.

Yes. But the topic of this thread is evil, not power.

And even if the Great Darkness was referred to as the Great Evil Beast in the original run (I can't remember if he was) it doesn't matter, because the most recent interpretation of the character is as the embodiment on non-existence. Conceptually he's very similar to Oblivion from Marvel.

I know in its original appearance it was able to come to a sort of understanding with Swamp Thing, since he was the only one who actually tried to talk to it instead of just being hostile.
