Late Night with the Devil (2024)

David Dastmalchian for the win. This looks like it could be fun...

Oh damn, and I just realized it's sitting at 100% on RT with 38 reviews so far...

I like Dastmalchian and I like the premise, but I dunno, preview didn't do a lot for me.

Kind of reminds me of Ghostwatch that the BBC did back in the early 90s. That was truly phenomenal. It ended up getting over a million phone calls to the BBC trying to find out if it was real including Michael Parkinson's (the presenter) own mother.

Def. going to watch this yeah.

A clip. Not particularly revealing...

But the awkward transition to commercial is a little amusing.

It was good, just not as good as I had hoped it would be. Great horror is rare.

The 70s sets, clothes, camera style, were are really well done.

I look forward to seeing this, but may just wait for digital next month. We'll see..

I dug this. It was a pretty simple movie, probably due to budgetary restrictions, but they did a lot with what they had. The music and costumes were an A+ and the few times they went for scares, it was pretty unnerving.

I concur with this. I found it to be creative and darkly comedic while also being surprisingly compelling. Recommend. It's a nicely done little film.

Fun fact, Ian Bliss who played 'Bane' in the Matrix 2&3 was very good in this. He's an underrated actor who I don't think I've seen in anything else. I barely recognized him, but his voice tipped me off.
