Hellboy: The Crooked Man

Based off the three issue Hellboy storyline, this is about a young, rookie BPRD Hellboy in the 1950s investigating a paranormal happening in the Appalachian Mountains.

IMO, people need to accept the fact a third Del Toro film with Perlman is never gonna happen. This story is deep rooted in horror just like the comics and isn’t a superhero action film. This has serious Evil Dead vibes.

Personally, I’m giddy with excitement. I hope it’s successful enough to launch a new franchise.

Looks like a proper horror movie. Looking forward to this.

The Hellboy makeups look pretty bad, but I’m definitely willing to look past that for a cosmic horror story that is faithful to Mignola’s original work.

^^^I've accepted that.

Will watch this, why not.

I’d love to see a final Del Toro film for closure.

I highly recommend you read the three issue “Crooked Man” story. It’s very creepy and entertaining stuff. Then again, I’m biased because I’m a super diehard Hellboy fan.

I've never read the com or seen the original films

tis looks rather interesting

^^^Maaaan, same here.

^^^Ooh, I’ve read it! 😄
I’m not the most vocal HB fan, but I love the character and the material to death. Like you said, this is a creepy story, not at all an action superhero-ish story.
I’m looking forward to seeing what they do w. it.

I also loved the two Hellboy animated films.

I hope we get more.

This film looks definitely low budget but very well paced and planned.

Less is more.

Ya'll are ****ing crazy this looks like total dogshit. 😂

I'll be checking the movie out, Just not sold on the Hellboy makeup..guess i'm so used to Del Toro's version so much.

Tell me you don’t read Hellboy without telling me you don’t read Hellboy.

This is going straight to streaming instead of a theatrical release.

Been hearing the film isn't that good anyway despite Christopher Golden and Mike Mignola being involved with the script.

It's showing at my cinema

I’m still excited.

This looks like proper horror just like the comic book’s tone.

Another reboot already?

The David Harbour film flopped, so yup.

The Harbour Film had some good FX, though. Totally enjoyed that.

Hellboy 2019 wasn’t bad, IMO, just overpacked with storyline adaptations.

The Wild Hunt would have been plenty by itself.
