Honestly, focusing so much on Guy Gardner could get them cancelled:
Especially after the Neil Gaiman thing. Not to mention Gunn's shitposting history.
Krypto alone won't save the film.
Nathan Fillion is Gunn's friend, don't forget.

That's true, but I also hope Guy and the other heroes don't get much screentime at all. This movie needs to push the absolute crap out of Superman specifically. The other heroes can get fleshed out later.
I highly doubt it's more than the way Justice Society featured in Black Adam. Most probably less.

Save it? That put me off from the get go. Add in Guy Gardner and I was like "this is a cartoon"
But tbf it's Gunn. He takes ridiculous characters and ideas and makes them work.

Wow. Even if Guy were in a CW show, he'd still look corny AF. That's painful to look at.

Yes, but such elements also dominate his movies completely, overshadowing everything else.
It wasn't a big deal with the Guardians or Peacemaker - as they are very obscure characters.
Same trick is not guaranteed to work with the A-listers.
