Mickey 17 (2025)

I like this director and I'm intrigued by it...

I have high hopes for this one, or at least mid-high hopes for this. Looks proper fun.

The director did Parasite that won Best Picture a few years ago. I'd kind of like to go back and rewatch that. It was great.

I did rewatch Snowpiercer with Tilda Swinton, Chris Evans, and Ed Harris a few weeks ago. It's underrated, I think.

Next week, still looks great

Seen Bong Joon-ho on the Last Show with Stephen Colbert show during the week.

It definitely is.

Good film 👆

Not as good as I assumed, but it's it's good and worth watching in the theater. Pattison is overall great in this, he's turned himself into a solid all around actor, looking forward to his future roles.

^ dude I was impressed AF by Pattinson in this. I did not know he had these kind of acting chops. I was impressed with how he seemingly made his voice unrecognizable? I don't even entirely understand what's going on there.

I basically loved this. What a wonderfully bizarre little sci-fi comedy, drama, thriller 😂

I'm sad that it seems to have bombed at the box office. I feel bad that I didn't have the chance to get out and see it at the theater.

Bong Joon Ho did not disappoint me. I really enjoyed this.

9-10/10

Yeah, he drove the film for the most part.

Have you not been watching his other films? He's consistently excellent in everything.

PL was probably too busy watching Vin Diesel and Dafoe films to check out Pattinson's other works.

Hardee har

I have seen some of his other films, thank you very much. Lighthouse, Cosmopolis, Tenet, The Batman. Those movies didn't work very well for me, though, so his performance wasnt particularly stand-out. But with this something about how effortlessly he used the accent and played the very different 17 and 18 against each other really showed off a range I didn't really pay much attention to before. And yeah, his performance largely carried the weight of the film and it was a big film to hold up, to say the least.

We'll see how he does in The Odyssey.

He'll probably nail that role too.

Oh shit, I didn't even realize he's going to be in Nolan's Odyssey.

I saw that he is being considered for Dune Part 3. I figured his performance in Mickey 17 got Denis Villeneuve's attention big time. I'm willing to bet Denis loved this film.

But I mean, even a great actor is not right for every role. Pattinson was great for Batman, but out of the costume he wasn't good as Bruce Wayne, I didn't think.
