👆 a very good showing indeed, for Sue, showcasing how humble and self-deprecating she is. It is often said that that strong, capable women are their own worst enemy, and this shows it.Anyway, when push comes to shove, Sue effectively saves Immortal Hulk from a bloodlusted
Odinforce Allfather Thor (amongst others):
It must be noted that Black Panther, prior to this, was capable of effortlessly carving Hulk up. Captain Marvel, Nova, Vision, War Machine, Iron Man, all adding in to this. And she's casually blocking them, expanding the field even, with no hint of strain, against the repeated Mjolnir blows.
Well obvs the repeated Mjolnir strikes that Maker's shield soaked > Mjolnir strikes from OF Thor, then. Because when Sue personally saw Maker's shields in action, she immediately was like "Holy shit, those are stronger than mine! It's going to take direct intervention from God himself to stop this guy!!" /moistpanties

Poor Maker. Overexposure = downgrade for any of the big bads.
Nah, Maker was just impressed that the shielding Toni developed could withstand blasts from a planetary weapon(which is worthy of praise.) That's when he decided to 'recruit' her/A.I.M. to help him build a Solve Everything Machine.
But I agree about the overexposure thing. Cates, for example, obviously had no clue how to properly write/use Maker after Hickman, and the character suffered as a result. Ewing also made the same mistake when he first started writing Maker, because he was clearly trying to mirror Cates' characterization(*see your scan*) -- but thankfully he went a more Hickman-esque route with Maker in Ultimatesg007_squared.
