Yeah but....she has the showings. You can't say she's overrated when she's beaten Dormammu twice, casually broke Cytorrak's hold, casually broke the Gem of Cytorrak etc.
Plus, that thread took place in Limbo. Where Magik can rewrite reality.
Powerups? She went back in time and was training with Dr Strange, to the point he said he had nothing left to teach her. She has just been showcased more in comics (which you surely must have noticed, as you were reading loads of X-men comics).
Same way Sue Storm is being showcased. Power levels don't remain static over time, especially for fictional characters.
