i remember reading an article about why the first matrix was better than reloaded. he listed a bunch of arguments and comparisons. then, at the bottom of the list, he put: "in reloaded we had to see neo's ass. there was nothing of the sort in the first one. that'll shut anyone up."

Nickjs21> Not if it had any relevance for the movie (which the much-debated scene in Reloaded did). If you re-read the post where you quote someone arguing against the sex-scene, he’s simply against Reeves behind. He doesn’t describe why on Earth that ruins a splendid movie. It would be like me saying “AND in Reloaded we had to endure Monica Belluci wearing a low-cut dress. We didn’t see that in M1. That’ll shut up anyone.”
(And, no, I enjoyed Miss Belluci, a pleasantly evil seductress – it is meant as comparison).
