We ARE really built the same, sure there may be flaws, but the genetic make-up is the same.
Believing in, say, life after death, is akin to a delusion. You have no proof, other than your belief. Trusting in something which is totally unsubstantiated is, unfortunately, still part of our culture, but, hey, I have faith in humanitys ability to get smarter… eventually.
Sure, reality is what my brain tells me, but it is a little more than that. It is also what everyone ELSES brain tells them, aside from people whose brains malfunction. Doctors can diagnose mental illnesses, and see what part of their brains, that do not work.Scepticism is not the destroyer of fantasy. It’s weeding out all the crap and BS and get to the core of the matter, where the REAL mysteries may be.
