Because the agents don't know where the rebels are going to be at any given moment, that's how they stay alive................the rebels aren't jacked into the system so they can't be traced..........the only way the agents can find Neo, Trinity, Morpheus, etc. is if somebody who is jacked into the system sees them and recognizes them.........this sends off a red flag in the system and the agents automatically morph there......
Bottom line............if the agents have no clue where Morpheus is......how do they know who he is currently talking to?
This is the reason they bugged Neo in the first movie.........so he could lead the agents to Morpheus and company............it's also why Cypher left his cell phone on and at the hardline, so the agents would know where they were.........
yeah..like ush says, if they knew everything they wouldn't have a chance. I think that summaries the explanation.
because...the sentient program, the agent, should bloody know everything that's going on inside the matrix. It's a search program also...i doubt it would be too difficult to have every single person plugged into the matrix in a registry and know where they are every sec......with the processing techs in those days?..seems plausible
Because they don't know which software they need to move in and out of.................
They bug neo in the first movie because they have no way of finding Morpheus and co. and are hoping Neo will lead them to Morpheus and Co.
If they don't know where the hell Morpheus is in the Matrix, how can they morph into someone where Morpheus is?
