Jean is much more powerful with the Phoenix. I remember when they did this storyline on the Animated Series and the Phoenix finally stopped poseesing Jean, but in the comics, Jean still wills the Phoenix Force. DId the Phoenix come back?? ANd can Jean control it now??

Currently in the comics (well before she died AGAIN!) Jean has control over the phoenix force.

It was just kind of laying dormant inside her and when she began showing displays of phoenix power everyone worried, but she realized that she was strong enough to control it.

It came all the way back in the issue of New X-men where Logan and Jean and floating toward the sun on Asteroid M. With no chance of survival unless Jean taps the Phoenix force; Logan stabs her through the stomach, forcing her to come back in full on Phoenix mode.

whoa, thanks for the info. I was wondering what happened to the phoenix force. I guess Dark Phoenix just disappeared.

Dark Phoenix is still there. She appears when Jean loses control.

Next Dimension Spoilers!

Like in Next Dimension after Scott is killed, she loses control. On Earth, Prof. X uses his telepathy to try and calm her down, but is knocked out of his wheelchair because of her strength. She then blows up Asteroid M and the Moon. 😎

Jean is way better looking then Emma. Emma is terrific looking too, but Jean... 😍
