It's his marketing they are after, they will net at least double what they pay out because he is the biggest player in the far east, they are starting to go massive on football, plus he is still the England captain they will tap more into the Evlish fan base. Fans of clubs other than Man Utd may be prepared to buy a shirt with Beckham on it now etc etc.
