Food for thought

ok.
I have noticed that there are a lot of members from different countries and got to thinking, what kind of food their nationality may indulge in. there are plenty of strange and wonderfull dishes out there and i would very much like to know what your favorite foods are and what strange kind of munchies your culture or country has.

In Canada?

We eat... People! (especially Americans)

Well I like proper stodgy English food.

Mash
Roast dinners
PIE
Chunky soups
PIIIIIIEEEEEEE!!!!!

Well I'm just trying to work out whether battered fish was created in Britain. If it was then yes. And Piiiiieeeeeee.

hmm...there are many tarditional dishes in romania. Can't say i like all of 'em.

Battered sausage and chips... bacon sarnie with hp sauce... sausage plait... argles!! Veggie now! everything else can be recreated but not the BACON SANDWICH!!!

Well dont really like portuguese dishes but if you wanna try something try dried codfishe. there are many ways to make it!

I love all those old fashioned things like...

Haggis, black pudding, toad-in-the-hole, shepards pie, cottage pie, steak and kidney pudding and best of all a lovely big roast beef dinner with Yorkshire pudding, stuffing and sausages wrapped in bacon.

Sounds filling.
my favorite russian dish is a sort of dumpling with pork. it really NICE.
Favorite english dish is probably sheppards pie.
