What Agent Smtih Says In ETM

After Niobe/Ghost sees the oracle, agent smith comes out and says that he is the alfa of there omega, he is the beginning of there end.
I thought that was a pretty cool line, but look what i found
Revelation 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
What could this mean?
Why would Smith Say something that was said by the lord?
Any ideas?
