How does reproduction work in the Matrix?

Humans are connected in the Matrix. Just the mind and not the body... I know this question is a little off the story, but I just can't ignore it. Sure you can bend the rules in the Matrix but how do you bend the rules of reality?

This has been discussed in another thread. I have the same problem. Maybe the machines have a lab where they breed humans 😛
Its a plot hole. Or something the Wash Bros didn't think to explain.

I thought about that and this is what I came up with. When the machines detect sucsesful mating with another human, they take a sperm sample from the guy and bring it through all thoes tubes into the woman.

no crash, they don't do that. in the first matrix morpheus clearly says human beings aren't born anymore. so they wouldn't be putting any man's sperm in any woman's uterus. they grow them. we saw that in the movie.

if i had to, i'd hypothesize that they just let the people in the matrix have their mating fun, and anytime they need a new kid they start growing one and let one of the women in the matrix be pregnant.

i wouldn't say it's a plot hole, cuz there's a number of ways it could go. it's just not important to the story, so they never tell us.

They need somewhere to grow them.you cant just grow a baby, thou this is the future so...how well 😖

well you saw it with your own eyes in the movie: human fetuses (i don't know the plural for fetus -- feti?) without a womb being grown inside pods. so yes, the machines must be able to. morpheus would have no reason to lie about it.
