Basically it's all about Apocalypse being unleashed and going on a rampage and the introduction of the 4 horsemen.
But for the real summary of what exactly happened in the entire episode:
The episode started with Mesmero doing some power thing, seeing that a 3rd dome had sprung up in Egypt over a pyramid (we see Poccy doing this). Prof and Jean try talking some sense into Mesmero, telling him Poccy abandoned him. It turns out Poccy wants to trigger the X-gene into existing in normal humans. Many would not survive. Prof goes in Mesmero's mind, sees that the 3 pyramids are powered by the sphynx and Poccy, who is now ready to start mutating normal humans. Jean tries to get Prof to take her with him to Egypt, saying that two telepaths would have better odds than just one. She realizes he most likely won't be coming back, and he tells her she has to be strong for the rest of the X-kids. Storm also tries to talk him out of going on tehir X-jet ride over. Storm stays in the plane, Prof takes the Cerebro headset with him (the base unit is in the plane). Beast is back home in the chamber, with all the X-kids behind him, who refuse to leave).
Poccy's look has changed. He's blue now, with cybernetic additions on his torso, neck, and arms up the elbows. He looks more TAS now. Prof and Poccy talk, Poccy says "Since when has mankind known what it needs?" Poccy lifts Xavier out of his wheelchair (not physically) and then Storm attacks him with lightning. Poccy then does the molecular transport-looking thing to them both, all 3 suspended in midair.
And I missed whatever was before Fury showing up in a helecopter. I think Jean was crying in a mansion hallway. Fury tells Logan they're taking measures and that them going would complicate matters. Suprise, suprise, someone over Fury's head in the chain of command brought back the Sentinel program (they're supposedly set to attack Poccy, who knows if they'll go crazy and attack every other mutant in the area). Poccy flies into one's torso ala The Matrix, the Sentinel acts funny, then turns blue- Poccy has taken it over. The Sentinels attacking Poccy were just a diversion, in reality the other modified Sentinels are attacking the other domes. Poccy sees this and does one of those hand motions.. we see the inside of the Pyramid working, and glowing pillars lifting. We see 4 shadows of people walking against the walls of hieroglyphics. A door to the outside opens, and we see Poccy looking inside. He says something like "Come, my horsemen".
THE HORSEMEN! They're Storm, Mystique, Prof -a WALKING Prof- and Magneto!!! The X-kids are still watching in NY, and Jean gasps. The Horsemen have blye glowing things around their face and necks (maybe hands and torsos too?). It looks like data paths and computer parts, if you've ever seen the inside of a computer.
4 Horsehands are built into the side of hte pyramid base. Four purple and blue glowing, flamey horses appear, and one jumps on each. THe X-kids view turns to Egypt, the Prof is there. He has a scrye like the grim Reaper. The Sentinel goes to attack him, but he cuts it up. View changes to China, Storm is there. View to somewhere tropical, Mags is there. Fury says if the Sentinels fail, there's only one option- them. Logan sends Kitty to round up the X-Men, Kurt to get Spyke, Cyke and Jean ....?, and takes Rogue with him.
Lance rejects Kitty's offer, but Wanda goes with her after she's left the house and is walking away.View changes to Mags in tattered cape breaking apart Sentinels. He also crushes them into compact crap. Storm in China, her cape also in tatters, is defending her pyramid. I'm wondering where Mystique is in all of this, I don't remember seeing her. Prof is still destroying Sentinels, but one finally gets thru the dome.
Beast reminds the X-kids that the 4 horsemen have had their powers greatly enhanced and warns they're in for the fight of their lives. We finally see Mstique still at the Pyramid Poccy is in(?) changing to a raven. Back to Mags breaking heads of Sentinels in the jungle. Then to Prof X running up the side of his pyramid, sending bolts of purple/blue engery at the Sentinel who broke thru the dome.
It seems they've gotten thru Storm's dome as well. And Mags.
Ok, at the end before the TBC message, four teams of X-Men arrived at the four locations.
Horseman: Xavier
Team: Collussus, Magma, Boom Boom, Jean, and Multiple
Horseman: Storm
Team: Beast, Berzerker, Iceman and Spyke
Horseman: Magneto
Team: Kitty, Havock, Angel, Wanda and Sunspot
Horseman: Mystique (and Poccy)
Team: Cyclops, Logan and Kurt
People we don't know where there are:
- Rogue (off on her mission?)
- Cannonball (maybe helping her?)
- Jubilee & Wolfsbane (contactable, 'rents probly didn't want them to go...)
- Forge (contactable, maybe he's helping Rogue?)
- Moonstar (still in recovery from spending 2 years in hybernation?)
- X23 (in the woods somewheres)
- Pyro (maybe contactable but probly didn't care like the hood boys)
- Gambit (maybe contactable... hard to say)
- Leech (contactable but he's really young and his mom's kinda a nervous wreck)
- Morlocks 'xept Spyke (makes sense - they never want to get involved unless it's "their fight" or whatever)
- Juggernaut (who knows where he is... plus he probly wouldn't help, although he does wanna kill Xavier so ya never know)
- Omega Red & Gauntlet (they're not really "good guys", plus they might be dead)
- Sabretooth, Mastermind, & Legion (who knows where the heck they are... Mastermind might be willing to help if they found him but the other two.. yeah, right.)
- Destiny (she usually shows up when Mystique's concerned but she was absent this time)
- Agatha Hargress (is she even a mutant or a witch or what?)
- Captain America (doubt they'll unfreeze him just for this... it's only the end of the world)
