President Who?

The United States of America finally has a president elect...for the time being anyway. It seems that Bush won by 537 votes. This will probally be challenged but I'm sure this will be the final result.

If this is indeed the case then all I have to say is, "DANG"

Booya!!!!!!!!! G.W. has finally won. I hope Gore will just admit that he lost and not contest the results. Oh well, I stopped caring a few days ago, I'm just glad its over.

I respect your opinion on the matter but could you tell me why you actually want Bush to win? Is it more a case of what you don't like about Gore or are there things you actually like about Bush that make you want him to be president? It's just that I don't understand why you Americans would even consider voting for him. I don't see a single good thing about him.
He has killed 150 people and believes that guns should be carried by everyone. And so now he's gonna have control of the biggest military force in the world. Surely he isn't the right person to lead America into peace and prosperity?
Like I said, I respect your opinion, but it just seems so odd how you prefer him to Gore.

I not going to comment on my opinons of the 2 canidates and I suggest the others don't etheir. We learned in the last presidental topic that we have many different opinions and expressing them will just lead us to argue and get this topic closed. So for this topic lets just discuss the future plans George W. Bush has for this country.

Lets just say he's the lesser of two evils. Actually though I do respect him. Unlike Gore he sticks to his opinions even when called out on them. Gore will say one thing on Monday but something different by Tuesday. Gore tells the people what they want to hear, not what they need to hear. I don't think Bush will be some great president, but I think Gore would have driven this country straight to the toilet.

Well, at least it is hopefully done and dusted now. As for the politics of each man, we did thiws to death ages ago so there's no need to tread over such well trodden ground again.

Gore will challenge and I think he will still win. The latest scandal I saw on the news was that the Republicans paid for voters to stay in expensive hotels on election night.

Normally I avoid discussing politics and religion with peoples I first meet. The Republicans payed people? Now you guys are just drawing at straws. Bush won, fare and square, get over it. Gore just needs to realize that he lost and quit contesting, he is ruining his name and even if by some miracle he gets in office everyone will hate him.

It's true. When the re-counts were going on, the Republicans paid for people to stay in nice Hotels. The next day the same people were protesting outside the building where the count was taking place. The people who were counting felt intimidated and stopped counting the ballots.

and another thing, only white supremists would hate Gore, they may not like him, but if they want to do something about it, maybe they should run for president
