T3 General Purpose Thread - Misc.

Judgement day would have to be inevitable whichever way you look at it, or you end up with another paradox. No Judgement day - No John Connor. Remember he has to send his own father back in time in order to conceive him. - Weird or what!! -. So if they do avert it, connor would surely fizzle out of existence. At least one bit of truth came out of t3 when arnie said that judgement day had been postponed and not avoided. Good film, but poor sequel, too many flaws with the time line, I dont think mostow did his homework and watched t2 enough, and John connor........ what a wimp he is in this film - leader of the resistance????? He doesn't look as if he could arrange a piss up in a brewery..... nah in my opinion t4 is a must and all mistakes must be rectified, with ole jimmy cameron behind the wheel again.

i think T-3 had the ending just like "Deep Impact". Well if you don't know that movie then let me tell you the ending. At the ending even though some of an asteriod that was headed to earth blew up, there was still a peace that drown most of the east coast and other parts of the world. It was a difficult ending but that's how it had to happen. The same thing happens in T-3. It was a destiny that could not be changed. Judgement Day had to come. For John Connor, I believe that he was not as strong as I wanted his caracter to be. But it is always the people like him that hack into computers and take over things illegally. The guys just wasn't eating right. I liked T-3 for all it's surprises but everyone knew from the title that Judgement day was going to happend no matter what.
TERMINATOR 3: RISE OF THE MACHINES.

man how many times do i have 2 say it. no they didnt tell u how he becomes the leader of the human resistance. in the end of t3 when he is in the hideout shelter and the guy goes like: hello, is anyone there?and then john connor says: yes this is john connor, and the guy then says connor can u help us, basically connor is in the place where he can track all all the war going around int the world and he can find the weaknesses of skynet! get it now

john connor couldn't have been played better. nick stahl did a very good job

Judgement Day doesnt necessarily have to happen for John to be born. If you follow the multiple timeline theory (which is the only way to make sense of some it)

Kyle comes from timeline 1 and becomes father of John Connor, wherupon the timeline diverges and becomes timeline 2.
So now in timeline 2, it doesnt matter what happens in the future, as John`s father is from a different timeline.
(I hope this makes sense, watch Back to the Future.. it helps.)

On the ending Alic88, I know what happens, I did see it. I just think it is an unsatisfying explanation that doesnt make a lot of sense.
You basically have John (who seems to have forgotten everything he`s been taught) just being accepted, no questions asked as leader of the surviving humans. How does that happen? why should everyone just accept his leadership with no proof of his ability or courage? How does he explain why he (with no military experience) seems to be running a military comand center?
And as far as being in the one place where he can lead them. It`s an out of date bomb shelter with nothing more than a radio link, any other links to the outside via computers will already be under the control of skynet. So he really has no way of doing much until he can get out of there, which won`t be anytine soon.
So the whole explanation for him become leader is based on pure luck. He doesnt get there through any skill or special quality of his own, so pretty much anybody could have done it the way it`s shown.

John Connor could have been played better, but it isnt the fault of nick Stahl.

there was no emotion in that movie, and what are the surprises everyone is talking about? even al the action sequences were done before and better

Nick Stahl needs some acting lessons. As in, stop hyperventilating with long pauses while your eyes dart around and you provide exposition for a crap movie. John Connor was made to be a little b*tch. Simple as that. After all he went through with his mother and T2 you'd think he'd be more of a man. Instead it seems the explanation people are slapping on is that he became leader of the human resistance by luck. So, everything up to that point in his life is pretty trivial, is that what T3 is saying?

i just thought it was trying to say This movie blows but we need money so come help give us an additional 30 million on top of the hudered million we already have so we can make you another dissapointing peice of shit

bottom line: t3 was atleast a GOOD MOVIE

bad news is usually the truth. 9/11 hit our country and not somebody elses an the negativiy here may be so, but we aren't doing that for the sake of negativity, really we are positive thinkers about what could have made the movie better and are fans of how good the franchise was and how it can be again.. that's really positive thinking. no reason to get angry

i agree and arnies term is for 2 or 4 years and ive heard t4 ig happening in 2008 so that leaves just under 3 to ffive years so i think he could do it after one term or during a term and do it as a cameo. flashbacks would be cool. less cgi and more robotics

well lets see how many people on this form liked T3. on other web sites i got a total of above 60 % rating v. good.
