Psylocke wasn't originally asian, she was british, she was the sister of Captain Britain. She went through the Seige Perilous, and ended up in Madripoor with no memories. She was captured by The Hand, and along with Spiral, was combined with the ninja assassin Kwannon who had very limited telepathic capabilities. They came out with scattered, fractured memories, kwannon was in Psylocke's original body, and Psylocke was in Kwannon's. Kwannon eventually showed back up as Revanche, and died of the Legacy Virus.
Also, on 08/15, Verauko posted a pic of Rogue in a body armor suit with a drap-around cape/sash type thing. That wasn't her transforming because of her powers, that was the Shadow King trying to coerce her into becoming his queen and setting him free.
