True. Marvel will be the winner if Superman does badly at the box office though and Bryan will come crying back to the X-Men franchise.

yea true. so he only got one shot at making superman.

If he fails with Superman it might be too late for him to come back to do X3 because it may already be made by then.

yea. but what if Bryan drops half way would he still be accepted in X3 project.

I don't think Bryan will drop Superman anytime soon unless Marvel offered him more money but Superman is a bigger production than X3 so its pretty difficult for Marvel to do at the moment.

well what if they dont agree with th e story he wants to do.

1. He will negotiate with them.

2. He will accept their story.

3. He will walk out like the previous director did.

oh ok.

AUGUST 5TH, 2004 - WHY ARE THE MAIN ACTOR'S NOT SIGNED YET?

"Movie studios are not in the habit of asking actors to return when the movie itself is still looking for the director to return or screenplay to be written, which right now is still a big question mark." says a source. "The only official contact that was made between the movie company and the actors, was shortly after the Bryan Singer/ Superman announcement. The contact info was to let the actors know that the studio was working on the situation at hand."

Bryan Singer Makes the Move to WB Source: Variety Friday, August 6, 2004

Variety reports that "X-Men" series director Bryan Singer is making the move to Warner Bros. Pictures for a production deal now that 20th Century Fox has ended his first-look deal.

In March, Singer pacted with WB to direct a remake of "Logan's Run." Then in July, Singer's representatives ended longstanding talks with Fox for Singer to helm X-Men 3 and quickly completed negotiations with Warner Bros. for him to replace McG on Superman.

Eager to quickly move the movie into production, WB went so far as to make a pay-or-play offer to Singer if he'd consent to make Superman fly post-haste, says the trade. He took it, and Fox soon notified him that his deal there was over.

Who will direct X-Men 3 for Fox remains unclear, as does its potential start date. The trade adds that Singer would be happy to be involved with the third film even if only as a producer, but the ball is in Fox's court.

Why don't they get the director of Daredevil, Mark Steven Johnson, to direct X3 and any future X-films.

It could happen in the near future. But personally I don't think he would do a good job because of how he did Daredevil in the past.

I liked Daredevil. I think he would do a good job; he has experience with comic book movies.

The only two notable films he had before the first X-Men were Apt Pupil and The Usual Suspects. Those two films would not have gotten him where he is today 😉 The success, money, recognition, and skill all came from him doing the X-Men films not the other two.

I agree. I haven't even heard of Apt Pupil or The Usual Suspects, let alone seen them.

AUGUST 6TH, 2004 - BRYAN SINGER AND HIS WB/ FOX BATTLE
Bryan Singer officially moved over to Warner Bros to direct and develop the upcoming SUPERMAN film. Talks between him and 20th Century Fox for directing X3 have ended and it seems that the third film, at least is no longer in the cards for him. According to executive producer Avi Arad and Marvel, they are still hoping for a May 2006 release, though a director/ script is not attached as of yet. Fox Studios will begin working on brand new deals with the cast and crew for X3 later this year. Source(s): Variety, Superhero Hype, Janis.

Don't worry guys. Fox knows how important this franchise is for them and for the fans. I have no doubt that they will try their hardest to make X3 fantastic, and hire a director who can build upon the great things Bryan Singer established in X-MEN and X2! This can be seen as a positive, and may allow more opportunities for this franchise in the long run!

Bad Singer 😒: ... BAD.

SINGER X-ITS X-MEN FILM FRANCHISE
According to a recent report by the Hollywood Reporter trade paper, 20th Century Fox has terminated its two-year deal with director Bryan Singer, helmer of its two hit X-Men movies, following his signing on to revive the Superman film franchise for Warner Bros.

Fox's deal with Singer and his Bad Hat Harry production company was reportedly in the middle of its first year. The studio had held discussions with Singer to direct X-Men 3, due in 2006, but it had yet to close the deal which wasn't part of his overall Fox pact.

The trade went on to report that Singer, who has begun working out of Superman's production offices at Warners, has yet to sign an overall deal with the Burbank-based studio, though he is developing a Logan's Run remake there.
