AUGUST 27TH, 2004 - JOSS WHEDON TO WRITE/ DIRECT X3???Sources at Hollywood North Report are saying that Joss Whedon is set to write and direct X-MEN 3 with the start date now pushed back to the Summer of 2005! Whedon created, wrote, and directed the popular tv series BUFFY TVS, ANGEL, and is currently directing SERENITY. He's also writing an X-Men comic book series for Marvel at the moment! AUGUST 26TH, 2004 - OFFICIAL CONFIRMATION RE: SINGER
There have been some annoucements before regarding if Bryan Singer was indeed off X3, after him signing on to develop/ direct SUPERMAN. We brought you one or two quotes from a Fox source, also. Still, some questioned if the news was indeed true, or if it was concrete. Even I was wondering if there was still a chance at him coming back somehow. Now, WIZARD MAGAZINE has up a new quote from a 20th Century Fox spokesperson, which is an official confirmaion of the situaion:
"We can officially confirm that Bryan is off X3,
and that the project is moving forward." says a spokesperson.For those wondering, Bryan will sill be writing ULIMATE X-MEN over at Marvel Comics, sometime in 2005 (possibly late Spring). Thanks to Superhero Hype for the heads up!
