we never hear anything about James' family! why?

we donr even know if hes pureblood! everyone just assumes he is. do you think its weird that we never hear anything about his side?
Harry looks heaps like his dad, and harry looks kind of like Voldemort. is there a connection?

I heard that Lily was related to Voldy but not James. The only time i heard of James's family was in the first book. It is kind of wierd hey?

Maybe james is Voldemorts brother, or son or something, and Voldemorts father - tom, gave James to another wizard family because he knew that voldemort would want to kil him...

These rumors are giving me the heeby jeeby's...I don't think James and Lily are related to special people in the wizard world...just average people, but I hoped beyond hope that some family members of James would rescue Harry...Sirius can't...*sniff*
