The current 'new x-men' story line is dealing with the alternative future caused by jeans death, and is set 100 or so years in the future, with beast holding the gene codes for loads of mutants, and is using his creations to take over the world, and now he has control of jean, who had been reborn in the far future and has no memory of her past.
Meanwhile, in the present, Scott and Emma are wondering whether it is worth rebuilding the school and continuing with the x-men.
Marvel is revamping all their X-titles. I hope they also intend to tie the story lines of each book in, to one whole. As of now i have a hard time making any sense of the entirtiy of the story line of the x-men, i think they may do so to make the reading more enjoyable.
They have X-tee shirts out at some dealer shops, in different variety.
Oh, what I was trying to say is that each book will be retitled.

Ok it's official now.
"New X-Men" is becoming "X-men" with Austen and Larocca.
Uncanny will return into Chris Claremonts hands with Alan Davis on pencils.
Astonishing X-Men is Josh Whedon et John Cassaday book.
New Mutants is becoming "X-Men: Academy X" (or X Academy).
Excalibur will tell how Prof X rebuild Genosha and will be written by Claremont and drawn by Kordey.
We will have District X, a Marvel Knight comicbook about Mutanttown and his number one cop, Bishop.
I don't know the new guys on Exiles but there's a change too.
