Underated Actors & Actresses

Kyle Chandler has been underrated lately! I haven't seen much of him these few months...

He was on the shows The Lion's Den and Early Edition... he should do more movies, he's awesome!

people look at Keanu as Neo, and that's not him. I feel he is underrated, but if u think he's a piece of crap actor, watch him in Constantine in September. I heard he pulled off something great in that movie😄

People look at Keanu as Bill. He has no range, no depth. Sad but true, he's a one dimensional, shallow actor.

Ever see Johnny Mneumonic, Hardball, Feeling Minnesota, or A Walk in the Clouds?

He gets what he deserves, IMHO.

I think that its that photographer in "We Were Soldiers", he was also in "Knockaround guys", I think his name is Barry Pepper.

Definately. Barry Pepper gets alot of work, but is underappreciated. Movies like "Knockaround Guys" and "We Were Soldiers" are solid.

BTW, whoever said that Steve Buscemi and Johnny Depp are underrated apparently don't have their ear to the cinematic ground. These guys are legendary beyond cult status, and very well respected.

My personal vote however goes to Jason Statham. He's been cast in a couple of Guy Ritchie movies, i.e. "Lock Stock,.." and "Snatch", but he's got his own thing going in "The Transporter", as well as the remake of "The Mean Machine" w/ another outstanding actor in Vinnie Jones.

LOVED him in Early Edition! I wonder what he's up to? Maybe we'll see him again, soon. 😉

u ever see Devil's Advocate, The Gift, and once again, Bill and Ted. They are all different parts, and now he's doing a sci fi movie where he gets his butt kikd every second. We'll see if u feel the same way after that movie👆

I love "The Devil's Advocate" as well as "Sweet November", unfortunately, they are the only two movies that showcase his limited range. I have nothing against him, he's just not as underrated as every sees him to be.

There's nothing wrong with Keanu. Can any of you do better than him on screen? I certainly can't.

Rosa Blasi she is an awsome actress, although she hasn't really been in movies, but she is an awsome actress on her lifetime drama show!

someone already said William H Macy i know.. hes great

but my big one is John C. Riley.. he is awesome.. he was in 4 movies nominated for best picture in one year... thats gotta say something

Wasnt he nominated for an Oscar for 1 of those thou?!

i think he was nominated for best supporting actor for one.. but didnt win.. when really he should of jsut been competeing against himself from other movies lol

Edward Furlong! He played John Connor in T2. He was amazing, considering he had no previous acting experience, and he was only 13. His best performance was probably in American History X. He played Danny, Derek's younger brother. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes sad and violent dramas.

I agree that Jason Statham was great as Turkish in Snatch. I haven't seen his other movies (except the italian job) so i can't really say much but i get the feeling his range would be limited. Very good looking though!

Personally i would say Paul Bettany is underrated. I think he's getting more recognition now but he's a great actor especially as Chaucer. Very funny.

Frances O'Conner.
She doesn't get a lot of attention, but she has been cast with roles in AI (she was the mother of the child), Bedazzled (Alison/Nicole), and Mansfield Park (Fanny Price). All the parts she has played in these movies are extremely different roles and all done to perfection. One her her goals is to be able to fill any role that someone calls on her to do. Basically she wants to be the greatest actress she can be.

And she has a great mouth.

That's true, I just saw her, a couple of days ago In Iron Jawed Angels

Johnny Depp was underrated before playing Captain Jack Sparrow in PoC. Now he's mainstream and I don't know if he's as appealing.. 😖
That's true ✅

He's an underrated director. Have you seen his short film- "The Long and the Short of It?", sooo sweet!
