blaise zabini

i know this has more to do with the book than the movie, but is blaise zabini a boy or a girl??? i know blaise is a boy name, but it sounds femmy, and its different on every site...does anyone have actual TEXTUAL evidence?

blaise zabini is a slytherin in harrys year. on every fansite blaises gender changes, some have him a guy, some have her a girl.

it sounds more like a girls name to me, i always thought she (or he) was a girl... but is it really important?

i think in the books rowling said that blaise was a guy, but i'm not sure. so confusing! sites and fics keep changing his gender! why can't anyone get this information right?!

its never mentioned in the book whether she/hes a girl or a boy... she/he is the last one to be sorted in Harrys year and thats all we ever hear about her/him. so no one knows!! except Rowling.

K i've read the fifth book three times and fourth 6 and third eight times adn second eight times adn first 9 times and there is NO blaise Zabini, i repeat no Blaise Zabini! 🤣

she/he/it/whatever is mentioned ONCE, only once, she is the very last person to be sorted in Harrys year, (into Slytherin... i think?) but she/he/whatever is mentioned ONCE!! theyre not a really important character or anything.

my theory is this: we know there are three boys and two girls in slytherin in harrys year: millicent bulstrode, pansy parkinson, crabbe, goyle, and malfoy. we also know from the first book that there is a blaise zabini. im pretty sure hes a boy cuz one:
-its a boys name, and 2
-in book 5, when theyre in care for magical creatures class and are looking at the thestrals(?), harry says a blonde slytherin boy can see them. since this boy is in harrys year, and there is only one other known slytherin(blaise) besides the main 5, i guess it must be him.

re--As for this. Blaise is, in fact, a trans-gender name. Also, the blond slytherin boy you mentioned is Theodore Nott. Check out any GOOD Harry Potter charecter lists and you will find him. There are 4 boys and 4 girls in Slytherin in Harry's year if not more but only 8 are named. May the subject end here...

mad points for that, i completely forgot about nott, and im no poser harry potter douche. mad points. but u need two bits of evidence:

1: where does it say nott is a slytherin? tho i admit to vaguely remembering nott senior being a death eater...

2: where does it say there are four boys and four girls in slytherin?

gimme some textual evidence and u get point and case.

I've always thought of Blaise as a boy. I swear JK said somethign about Blaise being a boy, I'll go over my books again and find out.
This is so funny, on every forum I've been on they have this question.
And Blaise is a boys name, who would name their girl blaise?
I know two blaises and they're both boys.
I wish I could contact JK to find out. She'll probably tell us in the next book, i hope
