TheFilmProphet
What do you think is the best film of the 80's?

roundisfunny
"Raiders of the Lost Ark" (1981).

SlipknoT
there are alot

The Breakfast Club
Evil Dead
Friday the 13th
A Nightmare on Elm Street
Stand bye Me
The Goonies
Raiders of the Lost Ark
The Thing
Gremlins
Aliens
Revenge of the Nerds
The Terminator
Scareface
The Shinning

Cinemaddiction
I thought the entire "Indiana Jones" trilogy was boring. Just an opinion, so don't shoot.

That said, there are A TON of great movies that were made in the 80's, so much so, it defies the purpose of this thread.

TheFilmProphet
Alright then instead of choosing one movie how about the top five films of the 80's?

BackFire
Full Metal Jacket
Platoon
The Shining
Henry - Portrait of a Serial Killer
Day of the Dead
The Thing
Rain Man
Cannibal Holocaust
Airplane
Elephant Man

Too many to name just one.

Cinemaddiction
Too subjective. Better off asking peoples favorite movies of the 80's.

BTW, what are yours?

roundisfunny
Well, I considered putting down "The Blues Brothers" too, but I wanted to avoid the bitchy "This is turning into a list thread" posts. Instead, I'm seeing "We can't choose just one" posts. Damned if you do....

TheFilmProphet
