HOW HAS THIS THREAD NEVER BEEN DONE BEFORE???
OK, I searched but all I found was a thread with them as a team. I am just shocked that no one has ever put them in a 1 on 1 before. So heres the deal.
Bruce and Deathstroke both get one month to prepare for the ultimate show down with one another. They can do anything and use anything that would be available to them on DC Earth. So who wins?
Juntai
Batman with these stipulations.
StarsNeverFall7
With the prep given, Batman easily...
Just happen to meet in a dark alley, now thats a different story.

Batman has more resources and wins.

From everything I have ever read about Slade he isn't exactly a lackey when it comes to prep either!

Wally West
Batman would probably take it given the stipulations.
Slightly off topic but does anyone have scans from the Infinite Crisis hardcover of the extended Batman/Nightwing/Robin v Deathstroke fight?

I was about to do that.
Anyway, under these stipulations, which are crap and make it less about skill, Batman wins.
In a straight up fight, Batman would get handled.
and I'm STILL pissed about Slade jobbing out to Ollie.

Symmetric Chaos
Batman. It would be a much closer fight if you reduced the prep time.

Alright, Bruce only gets one week.
Slade still gets a month.

superbatman86
Slade would win.Fact of the matter is he's BETTER than Bruce at prep.Giving them the same length of time is like giving Slade years to plan. Not to mention he's smarter than Bruce.

See now this is kinda how I saw it when I made the thread. Only no, I don't think Slade is smarter than Bruce. His mind just is able to process much faster, making them pretty damn even. I don't think it would be like Slade having years to prep thou. Like I said I think this would be incredible close.
1. In a random dark alley Slade would hand Bruce his ass.
2. I do believe Bruce is better at prep than Slade so there he is beat.
3. Givin Slade's enhancements along with how close he is to Bruce as a prep master, to me this is almost dead even. IMO

I can agree with that.

I'd actually back Slade as the superior of the two prep wise, he just doesn't have Batman's vast resources or a multi-billion dollar company to embezzle money from to suit his needs. If they had to pull a MacGyver with house hold goods, Slade would out do Bruce easily. With the limited resources that the guy has, he certainly makes do.
Anyway... even in a straight up h2h slobber knocker, Slade is only taking 6-7/10 against Batman.

But Bruce does have all that cash and resources so his prep time is over all more efficent IMO.

More effective, not more efficient.

Spliting hairs.
Its more efficeint to buy a premade supercar (or whatever) than it is to steal the parts or get them off the black market.

No but it's more practical.

In a straight fight Slade all day.
In a prep battle Bats takes it.
Slade does NOT have limited resources, he is the richest assassin in the world, who can easily get his hands on whatever he needs. So, resource is not the reason Bats wins.
Bats is just the better when it comes to prep. With that said...Bats 8/10. 2 for Slade in case he is able to cancel out Bats plan and make it h2h.
capt it up
slade sitll has trouble with batman in h2h combat even though he has the greater stat's he know where near the fighter batman is
Mider999
sounds like PIS if he has trouble with batman, perhaps he does have prep as good as batman just doesnt use it as much, he thinks he can handle any situation on his own perhaps, but with prep he'd know his opponents weaknesses and defeat them like he did in the identity crisies though i agree that it was PIS if he was able to shoot the atom at his uber small state, or that the GL would fight him hand to hand, but i can believe he could overcome the ring by pure will power

Why would it be PIS? Batman Fist fought slade. Slade won, but had his hand filled. Slade not very skileld at fighting. he skilled, but nothing close to top tier level. Batman superior skill's gave Slade a whole world of trouble
Accel
A fight between Slade and Batman would probably be like most fights between Spider-Man and Daredevil, where Slade would be physically superior, but Batman can fight him all the same with his superior H2H skills.
Overall, I don't think there's any thing to indicate Slade's beyond any Class A street-leveler to defeat him straight up.

IC #7 and IIRC Superman/Batman Annual

In IC Slade was being tripple teamed by Bruce, Nightwing, and Robin
I don't know of the Superman/Batman Annual. However if its by Jeph Loeb...
Accel
The Superman/Batman thing wasn't written by Loeb, but it was a cheap shot from behind.
Batman's never outright defeated Deathstroke in a fight, but the fact that he has messed up Slade each time they've fought says that Slade isn't taking 10/10 against him in H2H contrary to what some people may think.
Devil_LeonX
umm sorry but what does H2H mean?
Daredevil1
Loeb fight Bats won via sneak attack.
In another one Bruce one as he KO'ed Slade with a gun and Slade had his sword.
Slade wins but not easily.
The Heap
The Batman, but not before taking a beating.

LOL Slade being compared to Spiderman is absolutely ridiculous since he has "no" strength feats on par with him. None whatsover.

Slade ftw, damn luckily Slade didn't toss his Bat's ass off the building.

Straight fight Slade 9/10 (and NO Batman never beat Slade on his own)
Prep battle Batman 8/10 (a guy who nearly took down a JLA team is at least on Batman's level but still Batman is the Batgod of prep.)

Actually he has. One time he did with with a "sneak" attack. But it was on his own.
The other time he KO'ed Slade with the end of a rifle again on his own.

The first instance is from the Superman Batman Annual where DS is sneak attacked by Batman because DS is talking with a Deadpool look a like character. So no it was no on his own.
In straight up fight I don't think said character will appear suddenly to help Batman.
So no this is not a straight up fight situation.
I don't know of the second instance.
Scans or issue number would be welcome.
