Jungle ftw. Despite the better equipment. Imo he was more stealthy and the better fighter.

My money would be on the veteran and that would be Jungle Hunter. It be like pitting a guy in his 20s in this case being the younger City Hunter versus the guy in his prime and well-experienced being the Jungle Hunter. They were both good hunters in the environments they chose to hunt in, but regarding an actual match between the two Preds, I'd go with Jungle Hunter on virtue of his more experience and discipline.

i'd love you to show where it states the Predator in 1 was more experienced than the one in 2

Pred 2 got his ass kicked by Danny Glover, a LAPD Lieutenant, in hand to hand combat.

Pred 1 barely lost against Ahhhhhnold himself, who played a convincing elite special forces Major.

Pred 2. Contrary to what some may think, observing the trophies in Urban's ship indicates he was a much more experienced and skilled hunter. Not to mention he had much more combat feats and damage soak.

The Pred Survived that, and showed skill by avoiding the brunt of the attack.

Pred 2 killed Gary Busey... that alone is enough to give him the win.

Damage soak also goes to the Urban Pred. After killing the "Big Guy"(Jesse the body) and the team let off in the jungle, he was hit once in the leg before leaping to higher ground in which they had no idea he did. Plus he was cloaked and was pretty much cloaked the entire movie while hiding behind trees camping with the shoulder canon.

True, but if you remember, the urban Predator was also too slow for Danny Glover before he even got injured at all. When he was running through the meat warehouse and fell, the Predator lunges at him with his wristblades and misses.

Yeah they were both hurt pretty good so that was an equal match Imo, the Pred had taken some explosives from the powder in the M203 grenade round and had gotten shot by all those guys in that one panic scene.

As we can see the Urban Hunter has way more weapons, but the experience and skill goes to the Jungle Hunter. Could go either way. I'm still undecided. Jungle Hunter was more bad***!

How does the experience and skill go to the Jungle Pred? All he did the whole movie basically was cloak and shoot with the shoulder cannon. The only wristblade kills were against Dillan(AFTER the shoulder cannon shot to the arm), and Billy(Although they never actually showed it. Im assuming thats what it was).

I always though the urban hunter was more skilled. He had way more kills than the jungle Predator did.

Although the jungle Pred. could have killed Dutch easily he chose to toy with his prey.

The one off the first AvP had more skill showings than both of them...

The one in the first AVP did have his hide save by Lex twice too i think.

The film picks up immediately after the events of Alien vs. Predator. A smaller ship is dispatched from the large clan ship seen in the first film. This smaller ship contains the "Scar" Predator who had been impregnated by a Facehugger and killed by an Alien Queen. He gives birth to a chestburster, which quickly grows into the Predalien and begins a killing spree through the vessel. A Predator attempts to kill it with his plasma caster and inadvertently shoots a hole through the ship's hull, causing it to crash in the forests outside of Gunnison, Colorado. The Predator who caused the crash landing survives and activates a distress signal, but is immediately killed by the Predalien. A boy and his father who are hunting deer see the crash and go to investigate. Both discover the wreckage of the ship and are shortly impregnated by Facehuggers that escaped from the damaged vessel.

The distress signal reaches the Predator homeworld, contacting a veteran hunter. He sees a recording from the Predator's mask who caused the ship to crash-land. Meanwhile, ex-con Dallas Howard has returned to Gunnison after time served in prison. He is greeted by the town's sheriff, Eddie Morales. The Predator's ship arrives mere hours after the distress signal is received. He is tasked with eliminating the Aliens and destroying any evidence of the incident. He salvages equipment from the crashed ship and detonates the vessel to eliminate evidence. Among the salvage is a vial of blue, extremely corrosive liquid used to erase biological traces of Aliens and their victims. The local community searches in earnest for the father/son hunting pair, which the Predator manages to find first. He immediately uses the vial to remove evidence of the hunting pair. An officer comes across him as this happens, fleeing once he is discovered. The Predator kills him, skins him and ties him to a tree top, to be found the next morning by Sheriff Morales.

The Predator locates the nearest area of possible contamination, the city sewer near the forest. He is ambushed by several Aliens, and after a brief fight in which he encounters the Predalien (apparently the dominant Alien of the infestation), the Aliens spread throughout the city through a hole in the sewers leading up into the streets, starting a rampage that eventually leads to the destruction of a nearby power plant, forcing the city into darkness.

After barely escaping with their lives, Ricky, Jesse and Dale manage to meet up with Eddie and Dallas. They head to a sporting shop for weapons, contacting the incoming National Guard; within minutes, however, the entire force is eliminated. Kelly, having lost her husband and barely escaping an Alien, arrives with her daughter Molly. They are forced to flee when the Predator arrives, attempting to destroy as many Aliens as he can. Dale is killed when a dead Alien's acidic blood burns through his face. The Predator's shoulder cannons are damaged in the attack, but he is able to modify one into a makeshift plasma pistol.

Meanwhile, as the small group attempts to escape the town, they make contact with Colonel Stevens, who radios that air evacuation will arrive at the town's center within half an hour. Kelly is unconvinced that there will be a rescue, as the town's center is a prime position to keep the infestation focused on the survivors, allowing the town to be nuked. Eddie breaks from the group to join a small collection of fighting survivors who plan to wait at the center of town for evacuation, while the remainder of them make for the hospital in a national guard LAV as it is believed to have a helicopter. Unknown to them, the hospital is under attack and has become a hive for the infestation - the Predalien's ability to inject embryos into female humans allows the hive to be created within mere hours. A brief altercation results in Jesse panicking and fleeing - she inadvertently runs into the path of one of the Predator's shurikens and is killed. Ricky retaliates as the Predator is knocked down an elevator shaft by an alien, dropping his plasma pistol. Ricky is impaled by the Predalien, but manages to live through the encounter as it is driven off. Dallas retrieves the plasma pistol as the group makes for the helicopter.

On the roof, Dallas stays behind briefly to fight off their pursuers with the plasma pistol, until he is cornered. The Predator appears only a moment later to brawl against the creature, leaving Dallas to escape just as the Predalien arrives and attacks the Predator. As the two extraterrestrials battle, the helicopter lifts off, carrying an injured Ricky, Dallas, Kelly and her daughter, just as the Air Force arrives. Both the Predator and the Predalien mortally wound each other just as the small-scale tactical nuke detonates, destroying the city and all human and alien life forms within its radius. The helicopter gets caught in the shock wave, and crash lands in a clearing.

Dallas wakes to find Kelly, Molly and Ricky still alive and outside the crashed craft. After hearing threatening noises, they find themselves surrounded by camouflaged soldiers. Where did u get this that the original Predator was a Warrior? Because Imo, he wasn't, I'd say him and the second Predator were both just bloodeds. They messed around too much and got sloppy. Warriors are like Wolf and Broken Tusk, and they were far superior to these guys. They weren't Elders Imo, Elders are unheard of in fiction I think as far as combat, but rumoured to just be absolute beasts.

This is a tough one but I say Predator two as he has better tech and was crushing everything in his path. At the end of the movie the good guy kills the Predator no matter who he or she is.

Consider the prey both predators were hunting.

Pred 1 fought one of the best elite special forces soldiers of America. Before he fought Dutch and his crew, He went up against CIA agents and Green Berets. He picked them apart one by one because he had no choice. These soldiers were highly skilled in tactics and teamwork. Pred 1 fought one of the best soldiers on earth. This pred was having a time of his life. He enjoyed it.

While Pred 2 fought punks, mobsters, gangsters, and a compulsive deranged cop.

Really there is no comparison here.

123KID you have to understand the rules of hunting and engagement for the Yautja society.

Yautja consider humans, not Xenomorphs the ultimate prey because they are unpredictable, intelligent, and use firearms. The Yautja have an honor code and they will match you with whatever weapon you use. If you have a gun the Yautja can kill you with his Plasma Caster. If a knife, the Yautja is supposed to fight that opponet blade to blade(Wristblades, Combi-Sticks, and Maul). If an opponet is unrmed like Dutch in Predator then in will resort to H2H. If an enemy loses his weapon during the fight or hunt the Yautja can kill the enemy with a Plasma Caster or any type of gun.

overrated action heroes who will fire at nothing for minutes on end and stop to say "knock knock" when opening a door in a war zone.

Busey's team were "smarter" because of what Dutch and his team have been through. They knew well in advance what they were going up against because of Dutch's experience with Pred 1. Busey and his team were intelligence officers. Put them in the jungle with the first Pred and they would have been decimated instantly.

And to say that Harrigan and the rest of Los Angeles's worst criminal element were more competent than Arnie and gang is just ludicrous and insane.

Pred 1 was stalking them because they were extremely dangerous and skilled. He was smart enough to realize this first and decided to pick them apart. Would you go HTH against a dude carrying a freaken *minigun*. The rest of the team had SMG's, AK-47's.

All predators, especially experienced ones, always analyze thier prey first and foremost to see if it's worthy to hunt or not.

Harrigan survived by sheer dumb luck. before he came into the scene the pred was sprayed with nitrogen.

And the fact that Harrigan survived makes Pred 2 look bad don't you think?

He was in it for the hunt. Why would he kill them quickly? Where's the fun in that? He's a hunter looking for good prey to hunt. The more dangerous the prey, the more patient he'll be. So he want's to take his time. He's not a blood lusted killer.

Said muddy man is far more trained in combat/survival and knows how to skillfully use the environment to his advantage--booby traps, self made bow/arrow and all. Arnie beat Pred 1 just barely. As you can see Dutch is no pushover.

Rambo would be proud.

Harrigan, on the other hand, is no comparison to Dutch--physically,mentally, and skillfully. It would be like comparing an amateur golden gloves boxing champ to a Professional boxing champ. Or a Boxer to an MMA/K-1 fighter

Pred 1 relied too much on cloaking and the shoulder cannon. He hid the entire movie. Dillan's men that were killed early on, were killed(like mentioned before) because they had no clue. As i stated before, everyone killed that was saw was due to the shoulder cannon save for Dillan.

As for Preds being patient, i just dont see it. There was no patience anywhere in either movie. Both Preds were toying with their prey, however, at first chance the prey was killed.

That's a Predators major downfall. They toy with their prey way too much. If they fought to win they rather than toy with their prey they would be nearly unstoppable.

Cant forget that all he had was the knife that he pulled. He was approaching with caution. Luckily for the grid alien, the net broke. Would i have risked throwing it? Yea, but who knows if that would have been a wise decision.
