This is the official battlezone between Scenario and myself. This is the first forum battlezone with cross genre characters. Battle takes place in Hyrule field at night. I will be representing Russell Edgington while Scenario will be representing Ganondorf. Both characters are fighting in character. Who will win this titanic clash ?

This is the discussion thread on this battlezone.

The Scenario
Alright, I guess this is it. Still new to this whole "Battlezone" thing, but here goes nothing. Let's dance, then.

The Demon Thief

Where else to start but the beginning? When we first see Ganondorf in Twilight Princess, it's during his execution. Good time for a first impression. Anyway, Ganondorf is sentenced to death by impalement with a magic sword. For some, this might be the end of a story. For Ganondorf, well...

http://i1349.photobucket.com/albums/p757/Scenario388/GanonSagekill1_zpsb3dc76c9.gif?t=1375847411

http://i1349.photobucket.com/albums/p757/Scenario388/Zelda/Ganondorfrevived1_zps688ea347.gif

(For full video, click here)

You see, Ganondorf has aquired the Triforce of Power, a divine artifact which grants him numerous abilities. With it, Ganondorf's execution doesn't take, and he proceeds to disintegrate a Sage with a touch, while still impaled on the blade. He then removes the sword from his chest, cementing some pretty good damage soak. After this, the Sages manage to seal him away in the Twilight Realm, hoping this will get rid of him. As we'll later see, this is a mistake.

The King of Twilight and the God of Malice

Now, before we can really get into Ganondorf, we must first take a look at his puppet. For most of Twilight Princess, the main antagonist is Zant, and he's no joke.

http://i1349.photobucket.com/albums/p757/Scenario388/Zelda/ZantTKblast1_zps9079b2b2.gif

http://i1349.photobucket.com/albums/p757/Scenario388/Zelda/ZantTKcatch1_zps7bdb1d9b.gif

(Again, full video)

Pretty strong TK, dimension merging, and transformation abilities, but what does this have to do with Ganondorf? Well, Zant says a few things that are pretty interesting.

http://i1349.photobucket.com/albums/p757/Scenario388/Zelda/Zantsgod_zps3fee0f83.png

Zant's magic is not his own, instead being that of his "god." It's not too surprising who exactly this god is.

http://youtu.be/CbApgG2KAYU?t=12m15s

Just to confirm again that Zant has no powers of his own (as they were denied to him by the other Twili) and that all of the magic he uses is granted to him by Ganondorf. "I shall house my power in you" indeed. This is important for a few reasons, not the least of which is that it means Ganondorf also has these powers. Powers such as...

http://i1349.photobucket.com/albums/p757/Scenario388/Zelda/Zanttransform1_zps8b16c299.gif?t=1375853060 Transforming the Leader of the Twili into an imp and removing her powers. The same powers Zant had been denied, in fact.

http://i1349.photobucket.com/albums/p757/Scenario388/Zelda/Bridgerip1_zps1fbb8193.gif?t=1375853277 Using portals to remotely teleport/disintegrate large objects.

Mostly, however, this just means he has access to Twilight.

http://youtu.be/4A9pu8Mrcig?t=4m23s

Quick tangent on Twilight, as it's a powerful ability that involves merging the Twilight Realm and the Light World. Notable in that unprotected people that find themselves in Twilight are transformed into helpless spirits or mindless monsters such as Shadow Beasts. I guess what I'm saying here is that Russell doesn't have magic resistance and is very vulnerable to the kind of transformation magic Ganondorf can bring to the table. Which brings us to...

Beauty and the Beast

Ganondorf himself. With the Zant Rant out of the way, we can now focus on Ganondorf's true power. Let's start with the abilities he's used.

http://i1349.photobucket.com/albums/p757/Scenario388/Zelda/Ganondorfparticles1_zps07e17528.gif This particle form Ganondorf uses is demonstrably intangible, something Russell really cannot do anything about, but that isn't the worst part of this. No, it's the fact that this is Ganondorf's possession ability.

http://i1349.photobucket.com/albums/p757/Scenario388/Zelda/GanondorfTKblast1_zpsc216a758.gif Even in Zelda's body, Ganondorf retains his own magic, neatly using telekinesis to blast Midna across the room, and then he seals her off with a barrier.

Full battle here. Aside from telekinesis and barriers, Ganondorf also shows off energy projection and flight. It's a pretty simple fight.

Next up, some big stuff.
http://youtu.be/ZwY8d8pM7p4

Beast Ganon. If Russell even gets this far, I'd say this is the point he loses any hope of victory. Russell's best strength feat is somewhere around tipping a car, and throwing human sized targets around. At one point Russell throws another vampire into a stone column and fails to break it. Note here that Beast Ganon simply brushing against the columns is shattering them. Ganondorf retains his barriers (no escape) and also uses his own Twilight portals, as well as his particle teleport. In a contest of strength, Russell cannot compete.

However, it's what happens after this fight that seals the deal. Ganondorf once again shows he's the "god of malice," and Midna attempts to stop him. She's using the Fused Shadows here, sort of a Forbidden Power type deal, as they're basically Twilight Magic sealed in a physical form. In any case, Ganondorf vs. Midna goes down, and his happens:

http://i1349.photobucket.com/albums/p757/Scenario388/Zelda/Ganondorfcastletank1_zps584821d5.gif

Hyrule Castle explodes. An entire castle, up in smoke, and Ganondorf is completely unharmed by both the explosion and the attack that caused it. It's at this point we realize that nothing Russell can do will ever hurt Ganondorf. For good measure, Ganondorf then crushes the Fused Shadows in his hand. Note at the end here that Zelda is summoning the Light Spirits, a few of Hyrule's many divine guardians. Recall that in one the Zant videos I posted before (this one) a single Light Spirit nearly killed Midna just by being in the same area. The Light Arrows Zelda is forming use the power of all four Light Spirits.

http://youtu.be/eJ5lE8H-EfE

In this battle, those Light Arrows serve only to slow Ganondorf down so Link can hit him. They don't actually injure him. As an afterthought, Ganondorf shows off his ability to summon Phantoms to aid him in battle. He mostly just throws them at you, though.

Taking the Edge off

http://youtu.be/ROjqZQQNaAI

Finally, we reach the final battle, and there is something we need to note about Ganondorf and Link. This is that they are comparable in strength. And that level of strength is far above Russell's.

http://i1349.photobucket.com/albums/p757/Scenario388/swordlock_zps8b558917.gif

Link and Ganondorf lock swords. Of course, Link wins, but surely that doesn't reflect badly on our boy here? It's clearly a struggle, and Ganondorf is capable of winning the lock if the player is slow mashing the button. In any case, Link is extremely strong.

http://i1349.photobucket.com/albums/p757/Scenario388/LinkDangorotoss1_zpsa6d4ffab.gif

http://i1349.photobucket.com/albums/p757/Scenario388/LinkBlizzetatoss_zps3629bedd.gif

Just as an example, see how Link deals with large rock monsters and ice queens. If he can pick up and throw an armored ball of rock, and toss an iceberg three times his size, he's pretty powerful on the physical side. Certainly stronger than Russell's tipping of a car, or damaging human opponents. Ganondorf is physically superior to Russell Edgington no matter how you look at it.

And that's all for now. Please direct any questions or comments to the discussion thread, located here: http://www.killermovies.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=582500&pagenumber=5#post14411470

I'm sure I missed something, so feel free to tell me I'm dumb or what.

"We are schooled. Onward to adventure."--Russell Edgington

I don't want to get ahead of myself and go right into the former vampire king of Mississipi Russell Edgington just yet. I want to illuminate those to the strengths of the vampire species.

Vampire Attributes --Vampires possess many of the abilities of mythological vampires.

1. Superhuman strength: Vampires are vastly stronger than humans, werewolves and shapeshifters, and grow stronger with age and experience (for instance, newborns, despite being able to outpower and kill any human, are weak compared to older vampires).

In this video we see Eric Northman's strength and speed. Watch how quickly he takes them out. Far faster than anything we have seen from my opponent and this is done by someone far weaker and slower than Russell Edgington.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=SnJnf0CXQyY

2. Superhuman speed: Vampires are able to move much faster than humans, and can move faster than a human eye can perceive movement. Vampires are able to perceive this movement, though, and, thus, possess accelerated vision, as shown when Eric Northman was able to see a speeding bullet in slow motion, and himself in normal motion while moving at superhuman speed. Speed, just like strength, advances with age, as older vampires are significantly faster than younger vampires. In addition, vampires have heightened reflexes. Vampires also are faster than other supernatural creatures.
Superhuman senses: Vampires have much stronger senses than humans, as they are able to see, hear and smell better than humans can. Vampires can also see perfectly in complete darkness.

http://en.paperblog.com/inside-true-blood-blog-vamp-speed-defined-163864/

Bill Compton is around the age of 175 years old. This is his progeny a much younger vampire, Jessica Hamby and himself training at vampire speed.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=lK1YnxZ3iSc&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DlK1YnxZ3iSc

3. Superhuman endurance: Vampires are able endure pain better than humans and are unaffected by attacks that would cripple, maim, or kill humans with minimal effort.

4. Healing factor: Vampires have an accelerated healing factor, and are able to heal all types of wounds, including open wounds, massive burns and tissue damage. Keep in mind Ganondorf despite all his power cannot heal from the massive wound inflicted on him by the Sages.

11:30 or so into the video we see this vampire, Franklin Mott survive this bludgeoning which would have killed most other creatures human or otherwise.
He is around 94 years old so all things considered a relatively younger vampire by comparison.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=fBZsI8PAzE8

Here we see him die as he a.lows Jason Stackhouse to shoot him. He explains he can heal rather easily from the bullets but unbeknownst to him there was a wooden bullet in the gun aka a vampire weakness.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=RlhV1O4LA7U

Eric Northman is over 1,000 years old whereas Russell is close to 3,000 years old though on occasion he has stated he is 3,000 years old. Either way he is much older than Eric Northman.

5. Glamour: Vampires are able to "glamour" humans and a few of the more common supernatural creatures such as werewolves. Glamour is a form of hypnosis, which requires vampires to make eye contact and use their voices to make humans do their bidding. Excessive glamouring can have a negative effect on the mental stability of a victim. Glamouring is not an innate ability, as it needs to be taught and practiced. Vampires can glamour at least two humans at the same time.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bwla5i8r_Zs

6. Flight: Some vampires have the ability to fly or levitate, and it is suggested that older vampires can fly, while younger vampires can merely levitate. When Sookie Stackhouse asks Eric Northman if all vampires can fly, Eric responds "can all humans sing?", suggesting that not all vampires have this ability.

Towards the end of the video at the 2:10 mark we see Eric take flight and demonstrate the ability to fly.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Dp2Auorw6Lw

Now that I have gotten the basic strengths of the vampire race out of the way let me explain them game changers are in this matchup.

1. Speed. This is a huge advantage as Ganondorf does not have the reflexes to account for this edge. He has been struck by far slower beings than Eric Northman let alone Russell Edgington here. That's how lopsided the speed and reflexes department actually is here. Ganondorf won't see the attacks coming nor can he ever strike a prepared Russell Edgington.

2. Strength sufficient to puncture skin. Now while I firmly believe in a clear difference in combat strength as opposed to exclusive space cheese strength I will instead be focusing on the amount of force necessary to puncture or break his skin with regards to Russell Edgington.

2a. Stinger
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stinger

A stinger or sting is a sharp organ found in various animals (typically arthropods) that delivers venom (usually piercing the skin of another animal). A true sting differs from other piercing structures in that it pierces by its own action and injects venom, as opposed to teeth, which pierce by the force of opposing jaws.

Insect bite and sting is a break in the skin or puncture caused by an insect and complicated by introduction into the skin of the insect's saliva, venom, or excretory products.

The reason I am going into this is because of the unbelievable strength difference between a human and a bee or wasp. They can still piece the human skin despite the enormous size, weight, and strength difference between the two. Between these two there isn't the enormous weight and size difference between the humanoid form.

2b. Force required

It depends on the size of the point of the instrument doing the puncturing (i.e. a needle takes only a little force, but a bullet takes quite a bit). What you really need is how much pressure does it take to puncture the skin.

http://www.physicsforums.com/showthread.php?t=399668

To me some of these posts here explain it rather perfectly.
It completely depends on the surface area of the piercing, how sharp it is, and to some extent where on the body. We see swords have no problem whatsoever impaling Ganondorf so why can't Russell break his skin with the force you have seen lesser vampires replicate or his teeth.

The neck area where Russell may target which seems quite easy to pierce especially with these pearly whites.

In conclusion to my opening post this is not a battle of who is more powerful or a feat war. It is a fight in which two characters try to kill or defeat the other. They use the abilities they have in character which means something they have already performed while in combat. It is about formidability and proving whether or not they have the abilities to harm/beat/kill their opponent based on the evidence presented in this debate.

As we'll later see, this is a mistake. Yes, we do first catch a glimpse of him behind chains and during his execution. But he was blind... In all of his fury and might, he was blind to any danger, and thus was exposed, subdued, and brought to justice.

^^The reason I mention him being blind and unaware of any danger is this happens to him twice.
GANON
An impressive-looking blade...
But nothing more.
Would you hear my desire?
To take this foul blade...and use it to blot out the light forever!

Ganondorf underestimates Link and his chosen Master Sword as well. You would think by now he'd have learned his lesson for his arrogance but it seems to be a recurring character flaw which has been fatal. It is in his nature to look past the opponent in front of him as he has against the Sages and Link. Due to the power granted to him he feels unbeatable and pays for his overconfidence practically every time.

Ganondorf needs to hit Russell to hurt him. That is far easier said than done considering his speed and reflexes are on another level than Ganondorf. We have seen lesser vampires in general demonstrate speed and reaction time far greater than what Ganondorf demonstrates. Catch me if you can.

We also see in the video the Triforce resist death but see later on upon his resurrection that his wound has never healed. Unlike vampires he apparently cannot heal on his own. The Sage he kills also seems to be comprised of energy. Just look at the Sages compared to Link who is made of flesh.

http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa41/quanchi112/Siggieimages/th_image_zps5975a522.jpg

http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa41/quanchi112/quanchi112002/th_image_zpse724984f.jpg

All well and interesting but this isn't in character for Ganondorf. Sure the triforce of power is supplying the power behind the feats but we don't ever see Ganondorf using these abilities while in combat. Nice point of reference and shout out here but it's off limits since it is out of character and outside the abilities Ganondorf himself has demonstrated in combat. I will go on at length later on to shoot down various myths and exaggerations in greater detail.

Two points of contention. Firstly, this is not in character for Ganondorf to do ever in combat against an opponent. Secondly, the reason this is possible is due to the fact that the light was stolen from the Light Spirits. That isn't in play here no matter how you look at it.

The light was stolen from the Light Spirits which is what made this possible.
http://zeldawiki.org/Faron_(Spirit)
Faron is the second spirit Link meets during his journey. As part of Zant's plan to take over Hyrule, the Shadow Beasts were ordered to steal the light of the Spirits. Without the light being stolen this doesn't work and only works here with the Shadow Beasts stealing the light in order to make this possible.

Myth busted.

Most of the magic being discussed here is not used by Ganondorf but by Zant in combat. Most of Ganondorf's attacks themselves have to physically strike his opponent save the Zelda puppet tk which just ko'd Midna minus the Fused Shadows. Midna minus the Fused Shadows is not impressive and it was just a tk attack he used while in possessed form. Still on the table but considering her small frame, lack of speed, and overall formidability minus the Fused Shadows I wouldn't write home about.

quanchi112
This video verifies both that the world is one of balance hence the Twilight transformation made possible by throwing the world out of balance. That isn't an option here these story elements in this one on one fight due to the events of the game being completely outside of their battle. Secondly, we see Zelda's spirit pour into Midna making her possession possible. This is verified in Hyrule Historia on page 117. Once Princess Zelda's spirit, which remained inside Midna, was returned to her body, she defended Link using Light Arrows. In conclusion he only can possess a body catatonic due to her spirit being inside another person.

http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa41/quanchi112/Siggieimages/th_image_zps0e73303e.jpg

Here we see around 2:25 and on Zelda transfer her spirit into Midna.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Yp8K4DdXqKM

4:45 in we see Zelda's spirit go back into her body.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=XB7r6XDD6Vg&feature=plpp
Myth busted.

The tk did no real damage and ko'd her momentarily. Midna also held back and stood by before she was possessed.

The last thing Ganondorf wants to do is use energy projection as that doesn't bode well for Russell Edgington's last opponent who tried the same tactic. I will show this feat off later in this debate.

We clearly see Link someone vastly slower than Russell keep up with Beast Ganondorf and defeat him by attacking the wound in his chest from the Sage battle which again never healed. Russell can easily attack that wound with much greater speed and his vampiric strength. Russell's speed advantage should make this child's play since Beast Ganondorf couldn't even get the jump on a much slower Link. Russell can also fly which Link cannot do so again this is an awful matchup especially due to the giant bullseye on Ganondorf's chest.
Now while Ganondorf defeating Midna is impressive considering how powerful the Fused Shadows made her we need to look closely at what you can prove. Evidence is the name of the game.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=k69hX8zVO40&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3Dk69hX8zVO40

At 13:17 of the video we see Link and Zelda teleported to the fields of Hyrule. We don't see the castle fall until over 13:30 at the very least. At around 13:07 we pan away before Link and Zelda fully materialize. Giving Scenario the benefit of the doubt that is still around 13 seconds unaccounted for. A lot can happen in 13 seconds and apparently it did since the castle went down. We see Ganondorf around the 13:37 mark. Now I am not saying ignore this scene as it was clearly meant to show the gamer the clear superiority over the Fused Shadows. That's clear to all but what I am saying is don't ignore the evidence of his battle with the Sages or with Link in terms of damage done to his person.

People tend to get lost amidst a collateral damage feat and tend to ignore anything prior to or after with the logic castle bust>>>swords. Here's the kicker to this argument. We don't see Ganondorf actually tank it. We know he has the ability to create portals to slip in and out. We have seen this from Beast Ganondorf boss. There is still around at best 13 or so unaccounted seconds and we have seen two swords wound him far greater than a castle bust yet it can't compare to that kind of collateral damage. You have to look at anything in a debate or a court of law at what you can prove.
At around the 1 minute mark we see Zelda state she can slow him down with the light arrows. At no point are the arrows claimed to be very powerful or to cause great harm to Ganondorf. Their only purpose is to slow him down as states by Zelda in the game.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=NN88Hh3NyyQ&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DNN88Hh3NyyQ

Link is strong but beating Ganondorf in this contest of strength and knocking him off his feet is something Russell can easily accomplish. Russell is far faster than Link and has body body destroying strength. He can easily shove Ganondorf to the ground and in such quick decisive fashion Ganondorf won't know what hit him. I will later go more into this with Russell Edgington's feats in a later post but I want to more closely look at Link's history of strength and power. We see how effective knocking him off his feet is here. Ganondorf is vulnerable and his wound is exposed which seems to be a major weakness plain for all to see in combat.
Here is the video I promised a little ways above. I wanted to put it here and explain the relevance of doing so.

Mayor Bo--Well it's true. I did defeat the Gorons in a test of strength and earned their trust with the help of a little SECRET. I can teach you the secret...but can you promise me that you absolutely, positively will not disclose it to anyone ?
......
Luckily for you the basics of the sumo are the same as stopping' goats...

Strong as you are though, you can't hope to beat the Gorons wrestlin' with strength alone. The secret to beating the Gorons is locked away in that chest, iron boots. Increase heaviness that even Gorons can't move you.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xAbh-5zTI2M

The reason is these feats of Gorons and what not are accomplished due to increasing his heaviness to counter their physicality. Link cannot overcome them on strength alone but he can overcome Ganondorf in a direct contest of strength without having to increase his heaviness in order to do so.

The Scenario
http://i1349.photobucket.com/albums/p757/Scenario388/endearingsmile_zps29adf13a.gif

Oh, how fun this turning out to be.

Something I want to note about the inconsistent nature of vampire speed. Here we see Nan Flannigan, a vampire who, by her own admission, is 816 years old. Here we see her get blitzed by Bill Compton, and as we know...

A difference of 641 years appears to make little difference when a vampire is not already moving at vampire speed.

http://youtu.be/jiux2n1eoyE?t=3m13s

Similarly, we see Russell himself fail to react to Eric Northman. Based on scenes like this being fairly common, it appears that vampires have severe difficulty reacting to other vampires, regardless of age, unless both vampires are already moving at super speed. In essence, vampires are shown repeatedly to have human level reaction time, unless they have "turned on" their speed beforehand. Vampires are very vulnerable to surprise attacks because of this, especially if the attack comes from someone you might think isn't that fast.

http://i1349.photobucket.com/albums/p757/Scenario388/GanonSagekill1_zpsb3dc76c9.gif

Hence the blitzing disintegrate punch. Now, I'd like to point towards this calculation, done by OBD user Toriko: http://www.narutoforums.com/blog.php?b=16689

Take it as you will, all I will say is that Ganondorf has blitzed an opponent before, and Russell has demonstrated human reaction time when surprised. Whether it was done at Mach 1 or 200 mph, it at least establishes some degree of dashing speed for Ganondorf.

Yes, vampires are somewhat difficult to put down, but they are clearly very easy to injure, showing little more than human level durability.

http://youtu.be/fBZsI8PAzE8?t=10m32s

Seen in the same video linked before, Franklin's neck is torn apart by Tara, a normal human, biting him. Of course, there is also the mace bludgeoning, but I wouldn't fault anyone for being hurt by that. Even if it would have bounced off of Ganondorf. In any case, it should be clear that vampires have no real resistance to injury, and they simply rely on healing to stay alive. This is important for two big reasons, and Franklin demonstrates the first one beautifully: vampires have an tendency to not avoid damage under the belief that they can heal from it. This leaves them open to surprises, and as I hope has been effectively demonstrated, vampires are vulnerable to surprise.

Of course, Franklin is just one vampire, who says they're all like that? Luckily, I only have to prove one other vampire is like that.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nvBZpG4l1I0

Here, we see how Russell reacts to an enemy that can't hurt him. Thanks to drinking Faerie blood, he temporarily become immune to the Faerie's light attacks, and proceeds to slowly walk forwards while taunting them. Note that this marks the second time Russell has been surprised and blitzed by Eric Northman, a younger and supposedly much slower vampire. This establishes a disregard for attacks he does not believe can hurt him, which is likely going to be his downfall here.

Now, I'm glad that Ganondorf's unhealed wound was brought up, as it ties into the second reason that relying on regeneration is a bad idea. As we have seen before, the Sages executed Ganondorf with a glowing sword, and he revived himself after gaining the Triforce of Power. Yet the wound did not heal. So, let's look at another bit of Ganondorf's powerset.

http://youtu.be/ZwY8d8pM7p4

Sorry for all the reposts, but this time it's relevant for a different reason. As we see, Ganondorf can shift to a few different forms. There is the twilight particles, Beast Ganon, Ganondorf's Malice, and his normal Gerudo form. Note in this battle that Beast Ganon's body is destroyed, consumed by apparent fire, and Ganondorf creates a new Gerudo body later. In both of these forms, even after creating a new body, the wound remains, even changing size to fit Beast Ganon. Note also that this wound glows, and continually bleeds during the fight.

Simply put, this is no normal wound. Ganondorf is seen to recover from worse injuries, and the Sage's Sword is the only thing (aside from the Master Sword, of course) to have left a wound like this. While it is not stated outright, this unhealing wound appears to be a property of the Sage's Sword only. If Ganondorf can recover from complete bodily destruction, but not from this sword, I'm willing to bet vampire regeneration won't work on it either. Thus, the tendency for vampires to allow others to hit them and rely on healing to survive is shaping up to backfire spectacularly once Ganondorf makes a single slash.

Aside from Ganondorf's blitzing dash, this is mostly true. The key thing here is "a prepared Russell Edgington." We've seen Russell taunt weaker opponents and those who can't harm him time and time again, which has led to him being surprised by slower beings and even killed because of it. See, Ganondorf does not have silver or wooden weapons (vampires weaknesses), and Russell has no reason to suspect that Ganondorf could kill him with a touch, or that the sword he wields creates unhealable wounds. Given Russell's reactions to people not wielding his weakness, Ganondorf has some surprises in store. Russell Edgington, you are not prepared.

Now, as amusing as the "Russell Edgington is an insect to Ganondorf" comparison is, it doesn't really seem relevant due to the sizes involved here. On the very page linked is a scan from an electron microscope detailing a yellowjacket's stinger. Vampire fangs aren't exactly microscopic, and Ganondorf's skin is not exactly as durable as a human's. I expect this will be explored more at a later time.

Here I would like to point out that this statement is not taking the context of either sword into account. Aside from the Sage's Sword piercing Ganondorf before the Triforce of Power awakens, it is a magical blade seen to leave wounds that bleed glowing white blood continuously even years later and do not heal. Even then, the injury does not phase Ganondorf when he rips the blade out of his chest. As for the Master Sword:

http://i1349.photobucket.com/albums/p757/Scenario388/BladeOfEvilsBane_zps91daf643.png

It is another magical blade (divine even) that is specifically designed to kill guys like Ganondorf. It's known as the Blade of Evil's Bane, and is known to cleave evil power, break curses, and dispel magic. It is Ganondorf's explicit weakness. Unless Russell's fangs are secretly a holy artifact, them piercing Ganondorf's skin is highly unlikely. Even if they are, though, they'll need to be good to beat the Light Arrows. That is, the other sacred artifacts that have failed to pierce Ganondorf. Since quanchi has brought up the Light Arrows too I will be covering this particular point again later, suffice to say that piercing Ganondorf is actually rather tricky business.

The Scenario
The hing here is, Ganondorf has in fact demonstrated most of these abilities already. Just because he didn't use it against Link (who is demonstrably immune to most of it thanks to the Master Sword) it does not mean he has not used these powers.

http://i1349.photobucket.com/albums/p757/Scenario388/Zelda/GanondorfTKblast1_zpsc216a758.gif

First recall the TK, of sufficient strength to throw Midna quite a ways.

http://i1349.photobucket.com/albums/p757/Scenario388/Zelda/ZantTKblast1_zps9079b2b2.gif
http://i1349.photobucket.com/albums/p757/Scenario388/Zelda/ZantTKcatch1_zps7bdb1d9b.gif

Zant establishes that this TK is of sufficient strength to blow over Lanayru and catch a jumping Link. Russell is of similar mass and is caught or blown away just as easily, so Ganondorf can get in the one strike he needs.

Then, the Twilight.

http://i1349.photobucket.com/albums/p757/Scenario388/Zelda/Ganondorfbarrier_zpsdaa36d69.png
http://i1349.photobucket.com/albums/p757/Scenario388/Zelda/HyruleCastleintwilight_zpsdebee272.png

Ganondorf's barrier shrouds just Hyrule Castle in Twilight, despite Lanayru (the guardian of this province) still being present. It's only Midna using the Fused Shadows that breaks this and allows the light to return. Now, since Ganondorf is very barrier happy in combat, it's easy to imagine him conjuring up a huge twilight barrier just to surround himself and Russell. There really is no escape at that point.

So, myth confirmed I guess.

The Faerie Elder, of course. However, she didn't have Ganondorf's endurance or other abilities. And the last time Russell faced energy projection he just stood there and took it. Against Ganondorf that strategy will be the end of Russell, especially given the paralysis effect of the blasts. Trying to bite Ganondorf will also backfire incredibly, as getting into melee range of mr. disintegrate punch is not a wise move.

The difference here is that Link can hurt Ganon, while Russell cannot. Russell has neither the Master Sword nor the fangs of the Sacred Beast backed by the evil repelling Triforce of Courage. He does not have the amount of super strength that would allow him to even hold a candle to Beast Ganon, and attempting to melee a giant is going to get him killed.

So here is what I can prove.

http://youtu.be/_5zE-qcqdWw?t=3m35s

Midna destroys the barrier around Hyrule Castle. Destroying a Castle, destroying a barrier bigger than a castle, same difference, this is Midna's known power level.

http://youtu.be/k69hX8zVO40?t=12m43s

At this point in the video, we actually see Ganondorf look up and roar at Midna, while Midna proceeds to rise up, produce her castle shattering spear, and slam it down on Ganondorf's exact position. This is not ambiguous in the slightest. Midna used a weapon we have seen her destroy a castle sized object with, and slammed it down on a spot we just saw Ganondorf in seconds before. But let's play the timing game again, this time taking everything into account.

Midna begins teleporting Link and Zelda at roughly 12:30 in the video, and they've disappeared by 12:36. Assume for a moment that Link and Zelda arrived at Hyrule Field at roughly this time, give or take a few seconds, and let's see how it works out. Midna then equips the Fused Shadows and things go as I described above, taking almost exactly 30 seconds, with the screen going white at 13:06. I'd say the pan from Hyrule Castle starts at 13:12 and Link/Zelda fully appear at 13:18. There is a flash of light at Hyrule Castle at 13:30, roughly 12 seconds after their appearance. Travel by twilight is not instant, and it takes about 6 seconds to each disappear and reappear, not counting travel time. Really, the two scenes match up well, time wise. It's not a stretch to assume the two scenes are happening at close to the same time, given that one party was teleported out. Midna's scene takes 30 seconds after Link/Zelda are teleported out, and the castle explosion scene takes maybe 12 seconds after Link/Zelda are teleported in, with the rest being accounted for in twilight travel time.

In any case, there's still the matter of us seeing Midna's attack. There's nothing unaccounted for there.

Not quite. Let's take a second look at what the Light Arrows really are.

http://youtu.be/NN88Hh3NyyQ
http://i1349.photobucket.com/albums/p757/Scenario388/Zelda/LightSpiritArrows_zps9ad04c85.png
http://youtu.be/Ts0dht99mTE?t=4m20s

The Light Arrows of this game are, in fact, the Light Spirits. Divine guardians charged with protecting Hyrule. They're the ones who sealed up the Fused Shadows, and they defeated the Dark Interlopers who would eventually become the Twili. And before we forget, a single Light Spirit nearly killed Midna just by being near her.

http://youtu.be/wCg0EwjQNyY?t=3m

So Zelda is wielding a weapon that uses the power of four spirits, each of which have the power to kill dark creatures, lift twilight, and seal away magic such as the Fused Shadows. The last time these four spirits worked together they banished an entire race to another dimension after removing their magic. That's the power of the Light Arrows, and that's not enough to hurt Ganondorf. Tells you a little something about the Master Sword, doesn't it?

That's not the only strength feat Link has, however. Recall that Link throwing a metal ball produces enough force to throw an iceberg 3 times his size across the room.

http://i1349.photobucket.com/albums/p757/Scenario388/LinkBlizzetatoss_zps3629bedd.gif
http://youtu.be/fz6A7JR7F88?t=1m12s

No Iron Boots, just pure superhylian strength that Russell has not shown he can match. Thus, Ganondorf remains physically superior.

Here is the thing with that. You can clearly see in this scene her attention is elsewhere and she is mainly shocked. Nan is completely caught off guard and Bill kills her weakness exploitation via wooden stake. It was not as if Bill killed her under his own strength. More like a sucker shot and due to the weakness exploitation he killed her very quickly. Bill took advantage of the situation and the opening Eric's actions allowed him with weakness exploitation.
I disagree. This is another situation in which Russell was caught off guard. Russell was not defeated by Eric's strength or speed but caught off guard via weakness exploitation. Vampires are weak against silver and his mind was reeling from the sudden realization that Eric was burning despite Russell's recent jubilation at finally being able to day walk after around 3,000 years. Think about human beings and in various situations. Sure many humans are stronger and faster but they can still be caught off guard of cheapshotted. That isn't to say that they can be defeated in a fair fight but only that in certain situations they can be caught off guard. You throw in weakness exploitation and there you have it.

Yes, he did. The difference is we can plainly see his movements. It was also very close. We can perceive his movements and he travels a very short distance. Russell has traveled farther distances and his movements cannot be perceived. This is not even comparable to Russell's speed feats.

Yes, her teeth can rip apart his flesh if he allows her too. I don't see it bouncing off of Ganondorf since wolf teeth have injured him before. This video shows Wolf Link hurting the giant beast Ganon. Franklin allowed her to bite him. He did not allow her to attempt to kill him. He was asleep when she attacked. Context. Also its a moot point as this is not Russell Edgington. I've already proven per Twilight Princess at Ganondorf's overconfidence against both the Sages and against Link.

Vampires can be taken off guard like any being but in a fight in which they are locked in combat it is not likely. Ganondorf has been taken off guard as well by the Sages use of the Mirror of Twilight and Link as well.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=UtZ4NNRYvaY
^^Video of Link as the wolf injuring Ganon in beast form.

First off this isn't how Russell is going to react for a few reasons.
Here we see Warlow use a light based attack against a 5,000 plus year old Faerie. Faeries have Fae blood in them but it affects them so there is no reason why Russell would be immune to their attacks if other Fairies are not. It makes sense that the sun doesn't kill them as it does not kill Faeries either. It makes no sense that the light attacks won't work against someone with Faerie blood since it has.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_TLxzZw52xw

1. Intoxication - Any vampire that drinks faerie blood becomes intoxicated with it, going into a state humans would describe as "drunk". The amount of drunkenness displayed by a vampire depends on the amount of fairy blood the vampire drank.
^^Russell only reacted this way due to the nature of Faerie blood. This is not relevant to him minus the Faerie blood in his system.
2. This is a video of the tv creators describing this scene. You hear their words quite clearly. There is no mention of the word amp either. There is no implication that Russell received boost from the Faerie blood in any way.
Video below is of the show creators describing this scene.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=sppv_lzpxfA

^"Something appropriate to his level of power.
"Russell thinks he's got it all and that's what allows him to lower his guard just long enough for Eric to swoop in unexpectantly and to stake him."

In closing the context is for the situation only. Russell is high off of Faerie blood, is being attacked by 20 plus Faeries, relishes in his glory which allows Eric the opening he needs. This is a one on one fight against Ganondorf so that alone makes this example irrelevant. Russell isn't fighting 20 plus Faeries and an opponent who literally just bursts onto the scene with his guard lowered. He is just fighting Ganondorf.

quanchi112
False. We last see his body around 4:07 of the video. It pans away as Zelda's spirit goes back into her body. We then see next see him appear as a giant head amidst magical fire. This is around 4:54. That form was clearly beaten but not killed and he then changes shape. That's all that occurs.

The only thing relevant is that this wound is here. It's a part of him. This will be out in the open for Russell to see and exploit at his hearts content.

I have just disproven his body was destroyed. The body was injured and it magically changed shape. Vampires usually allow others to hit them due to the fact they can survive most of what does hit them due to healing abilities. Russell does not allow those with magical powers to hit him. In the case of the Faeries they just blasted him before he closes in on them. He was also powerful enough to barely feel it. That's a notch in his power department. We have already seen Russell use Jason as a human shield for one blast and dart right past the Elder Faeries blast.

In the matter of the regeneration. We have not seen Ganondorf exhibit the regeneration abilities the vampires possess. The sword inflicted damage is all that the triforce of power countered with its own magic. This isn't the same thing as regeneration nor can we make that assumption without proof.

I for one don't even see why this is necessary since Ganondorf is far too slow to ever tag him.

The context of the scene is not the same as what you seem to believe. Russell was taunting the Faeries because they weren't powerful enough to beat him. An unknown opponent who came out of nowhere with speed far beyond Ganondorf who used weakness exploitation to kill him while he lowered his guard basically means moot point.

Russell is far too fast, can regenerate, has body destruction feats, and is too ruthless to take any chances against an unknown threat. Conversely, we know it has been flat out explained in Twilight Princess how blind he has been against any threat to him. That's Ganondorf's m.o.

That was not the analogy I was going for. I simply wanted to make the point that despite a human's vast superiority in strength to insects that they can still be pierced by their stingers. Russell's strength, fangs, feats while looking at Ganondorf's history and what has hurt him makes it apparent Russell is more than strong enough to pierce his skin. If a wolf Link can do so with his teeth then Russell's strength or teeth are more than able.

Yes, it does dispel magic. This is what the sword does after it pierces his flesh. That means the physical aspect of the sword impales him. Next the magical properties kick in and dispel his magic. So the sword just like the other one can pierce his flesh based on the physical aspect alone. I have covered the Sage's sword earlier in this post so no need to readdress it over and over again.

The light arrows are never mentioned in the game as anything other than slowing him down. They are magical in nature as well. All they serve is a plot device in this story to slow him down. Nothing more and nothing less. The wound is there for all to see and expose. We see two swords impaled him and wolf teeth hurt a bigger more monstrous form as well via wound. Do not forget that Link just walked away and did not press his advantage over Ganon's beast body after he was defeated. IMO he allowed him the time to recover and assumed another shape.

"Peace is for pussies."--Russell Edgington

Now let us take a closer look at some of the lesser vampires and the feats made possible thereby to them. I have already proven per True Blood lore that the older a vampire you are the faster and stronger they become. So keep in mind that all of these feats are achieved by slower, less powerful vampires than Russell Edgington himself.

1. Here is a lip service feat performed by Bill Compton. More or less showing what vampires are capable of with strength and speed in fooling public perception of what actually occurred.
Bill Compton strength against Rattrays.

Bill Compton: I told you I was strong.
Sookie Stackhouse: I don't believe I fully gauged the extent of your strength.
Bill Compton: Over the years, we become stronger and more skillful at hiding what we've done.

http://www.imdb.com/character/ch0060637/quotes

2. Godric who is Eric Northman's maker is around the 1,000 or so year mark when he achieves these faster than the human eye can perceive throat ripping out feats you will now see here.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=fvwrel&v=rlwgkYXG4nY

3. Eric Northman kills the Authority troops in surprising ease. Look at the sheer annihilation he causes and in such a quick fashion. He again is 1,000 years old much younger than Russell Edgington.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=SnJnf0CXQyY

4. Here we see Eric Northman react after the bullet is fired showing above bullet time reflexes. This is how much greater vampire perception and reflexes are than Ganondorf's. If someone weaker and slower than Russell can accomplish this look out Ganondorf because you won't even see him coming.
4:40 into the video.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=hDU2Nlw9Xcw

5. Tara as an extremely young vampire is capable of this speed and strength. Beating a dead horse here but vampires get stronger and faster with age. This is what a relative new born vampire within her first year or so is capable of. We also see Pam the older vampire easily overpower her. Not really relevant to the debate at hand but makers can command their progeny and they have no choice but to submit to their demands.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=related&v=Q2uWlQgQGc0

6. In this video we see the Glamour ability once again come into play. We also see Eric at the end show his speed off again in catching Adilyn despite her running off into the distance and the huge head start she has. Eric catches her easily and this is never in doubt.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bmHjk4wh2Oo

7. Queen Sophie Anne and Bill Compton tussle briefly in the air. It is clear she is superior to him but he brought back up armed to the teeth in anti vampire weaponry. We see how they can fight in the air and another example of slower, less powerful vampires and the impressive speed demonstrated by both of them.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_HfWdkwVb9Y

8. Eric Northman kills Claudine a Faerie with light powers. Eric comes out of nowhere and drains her to the point of death.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=wTJPLuf_rq8

9. Bill Compton demonstrating speed and power to easily kill these two humans. As the viewer you again cannot perceive his movements.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=hNryOk1GrI0&feature=relmfu

10. Around the 3:20 or so mark we see Godric come out of the other room to swiftly and easily overpower Lorena from killing Sookie. You can hear his explanation as to how much stronger he is than she is. He is at the age of 2,000 years or so. Very powerful vampire at this point.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=juI8KFiMwBE

11. Here we see Jessica easily take a gunshot to the head and heal from it like nothing. Impressive.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ng7ETSnNV8o

Now I want to discuss some of the other supernatural species the vampires have come into contact and demonstrated superiority over.

1. Faeries: Faeries appear as beautiful creatures with pointed ears and glossy thin skin. This is however just an illusion to appeal to the dominant species of their current dimension. In reality they are tough, ferocious and ugly. Faeries are super-humanly strong and durable. They posses longevity but are not outright immortal.

They can channel nature through their blasts, telepathy ala can read the minds of anyone that gives off brain waves(not vampires), can create alternate realities, teleportation, dimensional transportation, magic, photokinesis(Faeries can generate and control large beams of light with their minds, using this ability to attack an enemy or topple large objects. True faeries can morph the light beams into grenade-resembling round shapes that explode on impact), etc.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=tbafP0-FIR4

Here are two of the videos of the Faeries.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=x5mV3LeEKpI
http://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=relmfu&v=aR4x5JcMFpE

The third video here shows some of their offensive capabilities and their true forms.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=cUG4CA9nO3c

2. Werewolves: They possess enhanced strength, can only shift to human and back to wolves. They are short tempered generally and angry when their eyes change.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=5e3lLY1FS0g

The only times they can be somewhat of a threat against a vampire outside weakness exploitation is on "V" which is vampire blood.
If vampire blood is consumed by a human (or any other creature) in a small dose (one or two drops), it will heighten the senses, increase strength, make an intense sexual experience, and cause hallucinations. The effects are different with each person; however, if the blood is taken in a large dose, it causes several different effects, such as healing someone who has injuries, even if they are dangerously close to death, and metaphysically or spiritually bond the drinker with the vampire in question. If taken in a large dose when there is no injury on the human, they will have an extremely increased libido.

3. Shifters: A shapeshifter can copy another animal's body and morph into an exact copy of that animal. The animal does not have to be a similar size to the shifter. However, a basic shifter can not shift into another human as they are too complex to copy. To earn the ability to shift into a human, a shifter must kill a fellow shifter family member. This turns them into a Skinwalker, capable of turning into any animal on earth (including humans). Shapeshifters also have a "go to" shift, which is a shift they find easy to copy, and the animal that they usually shift into.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Tg013IsShFg

These other species while they have their own abilities, generally increased strength, and skillsets all their own are the low man on the totem pole here as vampires reign supreme. Vampires are faster, stronger, greater healing abilities, and can live forever. The Faeries while impressive in their own right have retreated to another dimension to avoid the vampires. Vampires are their predators and very rarely can control themselves in their presence. Shifters and the Werewolves are basically no threat in general to the Vampires. That's not to say one member of the species can't exploit a weakness or kill them on occasion. I just these things as a generalization in terms of the entire species.

Russell Edgington is one of the oldest vampires on the show. He has cut a path throughout Earth's history, collected many artifacts, used Werewolves as his own personal pawns while controlling them by giving them "V." As you will soon find out he has the feats to back up my claims of him killing the Demon Thief of Hyrule.

Here we see the flashback to Russell having Eric's father slaughtered. Russell then has one of his Werewolves bring him the crown.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=TlW6V5k6gSo

"...but make no mistake, mine is the true face of Vampires."--Russell Edgington
http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa41/quanchi112/Siggieimages/th_image_zps4abb9272.jpg

The feats you've all been waiting for. The baddest vampire in the yard has come to Ganondorf's playground. Russell Edgington is the vampire who is going to bring Ganondorf to his knees.

Russell Edgington's feats

1. Flight: At the end of this video we see Russell Edgington demonstrate the ability to fly.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dWl9yLNVJDI

2. Strength: Russell Edgington shrugs his shoulders and tosses Bill Compton into the ceiling of his home. Look at the relative ease in which he deals with Bill. He finds the idea of Bill daring to attack him as preposterous and full of humor.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Mulg2dPVo2s&feature=relmfu

3. Speed: Jorge Alonso de San Diego aka the Magister is easily dominated in quick decisive fashion by Russell here. Note how quickly he takes Pam off the table and puts him in her place. That is around the 4:15 or so mark of the video. Easily beheads him at the end of the video.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7MqdHEtcMhU&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3D7MqdHEtcMhU

4. Strength and speed: Russell Edgington takes the Were cub and chokes the packmaster amped off of "V."

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=nxFHTIjalNc&feature=relmfu

5. Strength: The speech heard round the world. Russell rips the spine cleanly and quickly out of the news anchor on live television. This promopts world wide fear of the vampires and rightly so as this was brutal and horrific on live television.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=1EYmr3lokQg&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3D1EYmr3lokQg

6. Strength and Flight: We briefly see Russell Edgington fly down to the ground and palm this car with relative ease. This feat is shown in the episode recap.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DKKHHSTDJ6E

7. Strength and Speed: Russell easily dominates Jessica and Bill here. It's obvious he outclasses the both of them. He toys with them. They aren't threats in the slightest.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=FnJa9z_FQNQ

8. Strength: Russell Edgington is going to be executed but when the iStake app fails he overpowers Roman, the Guardian and ruler of the Authority. Russell then stakes him.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=58xZeqQPDaQ

9. Strength and Speed: Russell Edgington easily puts Eric nicely away where he can't cause trouble anymore. This shows outright dominance of Eric who has many impressive feats under his belt which I have shown you in earlier posts.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxQQWRHwDmM

10. Strength, Speed, and Blitz Reaction Reflexes: Important video. In this video we see Russell speed blitz Salome of the Authority across the room. We see him also catch Nora mid blitz after she tried to advance on him. Crazy reaction feat despite being in a room with multiple threats at the same time. Russell then antagonizes everyone in the room as he angrily talks about killing them all. It seems he is this powerful that in a room of powerful and old vampires he can easily dominate them as a group.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=8ZH0NIDr_Oo&feature=related

11. Strength and Speed: Russell Edgington around 2:35 or so in decapitates a naysayer vampire, Dieter Braun. One attack and he easily slaps his head off before he can react. Russell Edgington is ruthless, possesses superhuman strength, and the ruthlessly to mercilessly kill in less than a second.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=OBhIolGdrl8

12. Speed and Glamour: At the beginning of the video we see Russell is 30-50 feet away from Jason on the porch. Russell moves this quickly that Jason cannot see him or react in time before Russell blitzes and disarms him. We then see Russell Glamour him. Russell uses his powers of persuasion to discern the secret location of Sookie Stackhouse along with the other Faeries.

After he arrives and his going crazy just smelling the Faeries the Elder Faerie finally comes out to confront him. She easily blasts Steve Newlin the vampire twenty or so odd feet backwards. Russell uses his speed to use Jason Stackhouse as a human shield absorbing the "turbo" charged blast. She tries again but this time Russell uses his speed to blitz right past her attack and sinks his teeth into her neck. He drains her quickly and without mercy.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DjIJ2WOHYPY

13. Power: Russell Edgington easily resists the combined Faerie magics hurled at him. There have been multiple videos at this point of Faeries hurting other Faeries with these powers as to cast serious doubt as to anyone who believes drinking Faerie blood makes one immune to such attacks. All it takes is takes away certain vampire weaknesses such as the sunlight one. It is a temporary solution excluding ingesting the only Faerie/Vampire hybrid's blood as best we know at this point in the season.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=related&v=nvBZpG4l1I0

After seeing what he is capable of in this collection of feats the outcome looks pretty bleak for Ganondorf. Russell shows himself to be ruthless, superhumanly fast, superhumanly strong, and powerful enough to finish Ganondorf off. I don't see this as close at all. Russell easily rips people apart. To me if you believe he can't pierce Ganondorf's flesh you need your head examined.

This fight could end in a variety if ways but all of these possibilities have one thing in common. The answer is Russell Edgington as victorious. He is too fast for Ganondorf to ever lay a paw on him. Russell can kill quicker than Ganondorf's greatest oneshot kill either against a magical being. I have shown Russell use his speed to catch characters faster than Ganondorf mid blitz. I have shown Russell travel arguably around 30-50 feet to disarm a person in which they could not even react since his speed is beyond human perception. Ganondorf's best speed feat is not beyond our perception. I have shown weaker vampires shrug off and heal from gunshots to the head as if someone threw a Tic Tac off her head. I have shown Russell slap a very powerful vampire's head off in quick and efficient fashion.

The conclusion one comes to here is pretty obvious. Russell wins this any way he wants to. Russell is simply too fast for Ganondorf to account for. Russell is strong enough to kill Ganondorf who has a bullseye right in the middle of his chest.

I see no reason why Link is immune to those abilities but I don't see them being enough to beat Russell either. Midna was thrown back and ko'd. Throwing a vampire back is not really going to do much to someone with his healing abilities.

Summoning the barriers which he does on Hyrule Field won't do much of anything to Russell Edgington.
4:12-4:14 of the video we see him erect them. Russell can fly right over them if he wants to but it isn't needed as he can easily dominate him inside the barriers with his speed advantage. The area in which Ganondorf and Link fight in Hyrule Field is a pretty wide area. Ganondorf is the one who will long for an escape after he meets Russell Edgington.

Russell was talking and the Faeries blasted him. There were twenty or more of them as well. Ganondorf destroyed one magical being. We see nothing of the sort against Midna or Link. We also see Ganondorf stand there while the rest of the Sages use the Mirror of the Twilight to banish him. Russell bites him and ends him. Ganondorf will succumb to him very quickly just like the Faerie Elder. Durability was not the same thing since he drained her of her blood that quickly. That is why she disintegrated. He will drain Dorf of his blood. He won't disintegrate but he will die.

The sages hurt Ganondorf as did Link. You make up,excuses every time he is hurt. Basically your argument consists of only the artifacts and characters in the Twilight Princess game can hurt him. Beast Ganon is slow and has a giant wound on his chest a wolf's fangs can hurt. We also see Midna without the combined Fused Shadows overpower him. Midna stops his forward momentum and overpowers him.

http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa41/quanchi112/Siggieimages/th_image_zpsef97a1b5.jpg

Midna is powerful with the Fused Shadows. She does destroy the magical barrier. I do not believe she destroys the castle herself. I myself believe that is due to her battle with Ganondorf. Very good collateral damage feat but again we simply do not know when the castle went down what hit either character or if at all.

What you cannot prove is the meat and potatoes of your initial point. We don't see the castle fall on Ganondorf. Look at all the evidence here when it comes to injuring Ganondorf and not one battle in which we don't see in its entirely on screen.

It does not matter as Ganondorf is not Midna nor can he hit Russell. He's too fast so it is irrelevant in terms of this matchup.
Yes, we see her use the same attack against his floating head form. That's all we see though until multiple seconds later when we do see Ganondorf again.

Yes, so we are right back to what we know. Midna attacked Ganondorf and then we plan away. 12 seconds later we see the castle go down. Ganondorf defeated Midna. That is not relevant to Russell since he doesn't possess the same abilities as Midna. Who was where when the castle went down or what made it go down is left for speculation. No one can prove it either way. I am not saying ignore the scene altogether, but I am saying look at the other scenes with Ganondorf and don't get hung on up this one alone. The other scenes make it clear what can hurt him and there is nothing left to speculation.

Yes, Midna was nearly killed but minus the Fused Shadows she really is not impressive. The light spirit is her polar opposite and minus the Fused Shadow she lacks the power to oppose something directly opposed to her.

Ganondorf has the triforce of power backing him. So it is clear that he has magical resistance to magical items but that is not the same as being impervious to physical attacks altogether. We see two swords and wolf's teeth hurt him. The triforce of power backed him which was greater than the magic of the light arrows. To me superior magic resists inferior magic. Russell is not a magical being so his strength feats make it plain to see he has the power to hurt/kill him.
Yes, Link throws a ball and chain with the weight and power behind it to do so.

Ganondorf loses the strength contest to Link so to me that shows he cannot match Link in terms of strength. Russell can shrug his shoulders and throw the superhumanly strong Bill Compton easily off of him. That is more impressive since he did it with such relative ease IMO. Most of Link's strength feats require gear of some kind which sacrifices mobility and takes a lot of his strength in order to pull it off. Couple with this Russell's decisive speed advantage that Ganondorf cannot account for. Ganondorf is defeated by being launched to the ground in a vulnerable position. I have shown Russell push Salome to the ground with superhuman speed and once again with relative ease.

The Scenario
My, my, lot of videos and points here. In order to streamline this a bit, I'm not going to be replying to every single one. Let's say that if I do not touch on a particular point, it means I am not contesting it, and it may be left as is. That, or I has already addressed it. With that out of the way, here we go again.

I disagree here as well.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jiux2n1eoyE&feature=youtu.be&t=3m13s

There is absolutely no "weakness exploitation" in the moment Eric outspeeds Russell. There is nothing here that would cause Russell to move slower except for normal, mundane surprise. Sure, weaknesses are involved, in silver handcuffs and the sun, but neither is relevant to Eric's grab, and therefore this cannot be brushed off as a weakness exploitation. Russell, and most other vampires, are seen to move and react slower when caught off guard. I believe Ganondorf can easily catch Russell off guard with his powers and durability.

All True Blood vampires use the same special effect for their speed, and that is blur speed at most. It is hardly impossible for the viewer to track anyone's movements, as they can be clearly seen as distorted images moving across the screen, and are never at any point invisible. If we are take other character's reactions into account, sure, humans can't react to this with much more than a scream. Very similarly, the Sages are unable to react to Ganondorf's movement. It may not be as fast, but it is certainly comparable to a vampire, especially given the way vampires seem to need to move in bursts.

Now, something I would like to point out here, that you may already know, is that Wolf Link is not a normal wolf. First, let's shed some light on why Link becomes a wolf.

http://i1349.photobucket.com/albums/p757/Scenario388/Zelda/tplinktriforce_zpsa68331e1.gif?t=1376365656
http://i1349.photobucket.com/albums/p757/Scenario388/tplinktransforms_zps84ef0024.gif?t=1376366589

First of all, notice the glowing crest on Link's hand and the focus it is given in this scene. This is the Triforce of Courage, another piece of the same divine artifact that Ganondorf wields. While Ganondorf has Power, Link has Courage, and their abilities are a bit different. As can be seen in these images, Link's piece of the Triforce can harm and repel Shadow Beasts, and protects him from the Twilight. Instead of becoming a helpless spirit, Link becomes what is referred to throughout the game as a "Sacred Beast."

Now, to further dispel the notion that Link's fangs in this form are completely normal, we can take another look at these Shadow Beasts.

http://i1349.photobucket.com/albums/p757/Scenario388/shadowbeastconversion_zps819ff87a.png

"They sure didn't seem impressed with bombs! How long do you think we can hold this sanctuary against beasts that strong, huh?

Meet Barnes', the owner of the Kakariko bomb shop. Naturally, he sells explosives, and naturally, they are rather powerful.

http://i1349.photobucket.com/albums/p757/Scenario388/Zelda/tpbombarrows_zps2b3e65a8.gif?t=1376368348
http://i1349.photobucket.com/albums/p757/Scenario388/Zelda/tpbombs_zps9a966b9d.gif?t=1376368369

Hyrule's tech may not be modern, but who said it wasn't effective? In any case, just look at the size of the boulders demolished by these bombs, they are easily more than five time Link's size and quite likely in the double to triple digit ton range. Shadow Beasts are, and I quote, "unimpressed" by this. So what can hurt them, if such a large explosive can't? Wolf Link, for one.

http://i1349.photobucket.com/albums/p757/Scenario388/tpwolfbite_zpsbd56c71c.gif?t=1376369275

Frankly, between the Triforce of Courage's power and a bite stronger than a bomb, Ganon being hurt by this isn't so bad. So like I said before, unless Russell's fangs are holy, or at least bomb proof, biting Ganondorf is deeply unwise.

I'm not sure that logic checks out completely. Humans aren't burned by the sun, but human blood hardly gives any powers. The blood of the Fae is clearly pretty special. Then, there's this bit:

http://i1349.photobucket.com/albums/p757/Scenario388/tbsookieblastsrussell_zpsed33024c.gif?t=1376370130

Aside from adding fuel to the "slow when surprised" fire, this is a clear demonstration of Russell being affected by Faerie power. Notably, Sookie here is only half-faerie, and her powers don't exactly compare with those of a true fae, who are seen to launch grenade like projectiles. This isn't a property of Sookie herself, either, as she is also seen with the other Faeries blasting Russell to no effect. The biggest difference between this scene and that one is that here, Russell hasn't just drained a Faerie Elder dry. If Russell was just immune, why use a human shield? Why dodge the Elder but then let everyone else hit you? Russell's magic resistance, if it can be called that, is simply due to the way Faerie blood affects vampires. I'll grant that in this case, Russell will at least dodge Ganondorf's energy projection as well, since he isn't immune to it.

We we last his body, it's on fire. When Ganondorf's Malice appears, the body is completely gone. In any case, whatever other injuries Ganon takes here are in fact gone by the time he makes a new Gerudo body, so the point stands. The wound inflicted by the Sages before the Triforce of Power awakened is the only wound Ganondorf has not recovered from, as he is clearly capable of recovering between forms and defeats.

Whether it's one opponent or 20, Russell purposefully lowered his guard. That's the point; if he believes he has the upper hand, Russell consistently leaves himself open. Heck, he allowed Bill to jump up on his shoulders with a wooden stake before doing anything, and he let the Authority's goons shoot him with a silver net without defending himself. In both cases one of Russell's weakness is in play, and in both cases he lowers his guard. Why, then, would he take Ganondorf seriously, when exactly none of his weaknesses are in play?

Yes, Russell executes people when he's annoyed, and tends to (but not always) dodge actual threats. But in a case like this, where it's just one opponent and there's no way to exploit a weakness, Russell has shown he prefers toying with people. If he's stared down 20 Faeries, one Gerudo doesn't seem like much. Really, Russell and Ganondorf are rather alike in this way, seeing as both are arrogant enough to think themselves untouchable. Only it this case, it's Russell that can't hurt Ganondorf.

That's not how it works. That's not shown, stated, or even hinted at, anywhere in either Twilight Princess or Hyrule Historia. What is stated, though, is that the Master Sword cannot be touched by evil, and cleaves it apart, what with being the Blade of Evil's Bane. What has been shown is that the Master Sword can break Link's curse without even touching him. It is far from a normal sword, one of the most powerful items in the franchise, and it being "purely physical" is a claim that has no evidence behind it whatsoever.

The Scenario
The light arrows are shown in game to have the power of the light spirits behind them, and the light spirits are shown in game to have badly injured Midna on accident. What is "mentioned" by Zelda is irrelevant to their power, as it only means that the Light Spirit's combined power is unable to harm Ganondorf despite 1/4 of it nearly killing Midna, and actually killing every Shadow Beast still around after the spirits get their light back.

http://i1349.photobucket.com/albums/p757/Scenario388/Zelda/tplightarrows_zps86138113.png

Plus, magical or not those arrows are still pretty darn sharp. An arrow like that, charged with enough divine power to clear a province of twilight and destroy shadow creatures, is shown to do little more than slow Ganondorf down. All the statement proves is that Zelda is smart enough to know what can and can't hurt Ganondorf. "Plot device" is a meaningless cop out.

Lesser vampires + other supernatural creatures

I have no real reason to contest any of these. I'll let them stand as they are, and simply state that none of the strength feats presented have been able to match Link's level of strength.

http://i1349.photobucket.com/albums/p757/Scenario388/LinkDangorotoss1_zpsa6d4ffab.gif
http://i1349.photobucket.com/albums/p757/Scenario388/LinkBlizzetatoss_zps3629bedd.gif

Tossing an armored rock monster and smacking around an iceberg are still superior to what has been presented here. Speedwise, I have no comment.

Now, for Russell.

From another point of view, here we also see Russell allow Bill to kill one of his guards, and then wait until Bill is on top of him before doing anything at all. Of course, Russell stops Bill before the latter can exploit his weakness, as it remains a threat to him. (The strength feat itself is unimpressive compared to Link, Ganondorf wouldn't have much of a problem restraining Russell should he grab him.)

I choose this one because it's Bill again, only this time not armed with a weakness of Russell's. As said, he toys with them, even delaying a sure kill in favor of slow torture with a silver spur. Even sober, this arrogance is a consistent character trait of Russell's.

Russell simply stands there and lets security shoot him with a net gun. A silver net, despite the fact he should easily be able to dodge something so slow.

This collection of feats proves only one thing: Russell is fast. While strong, his strength pales against Link, and while able to rip people apart, he is simply not strong enough to even inconvenience Ganondorf physically. He is ruthless, but also prone to toying with opponents and lowering his guard.

There are indeed many ways this could end, but there is no way I can see anything other than Ganondorf's victory. As it stands, Russell's greatest asset in this fight is his speed, but he does not always use it to its fullest effect. Further, Russell has no way harm Ganondorf, who has tanked magical arrows powered by the Light Spirits and castle busting explosions, only falling to what would definitely fall under "weakness exploitation." A weakness that Russell is unable to exploit here.

My conclusion is rather different from my opponent's, but it does start the same way. If Russell attempts a blitz, he is likely to go for the blood drain, going behind Ganondorf's back like he did against the Faerie Elder. At this point, Russell discovers that he is unable to pierce Ganondorf's flesh, and perhaps one of his fangs breaks. Ganondorf takes advantage of this moment of surprise, and performs a spin attack not unlike the one seen in his boss fight, instantly bisecting the vampire.

Or perhaps Russell does decide to go for the bullseye, attempting to shove his hand into Ganondorf's wound for the spine rip. Once again, Russell finds that without the Master Sword, he is not strong enough to get through what Zelda and Midna failed to. Ganondorf grabs the struggling vampire, causing Russell to burst like the Sage of Water.

Russell tries for the head slap, getting even fewer results than his first two attempts. Ganondorf forms his twilight barrier, trapping the two of them inside. Under twilight, Russell becomes a helpless spirit that cannot even perceive Ganondorf. Over time, Russell becomes a Shadow Beast, and Ganondorf decides to give his new pet to Zant. Everybody wins.

Between the Triforce of Courage and Master Sword, Link has a lot of magical protection going on. Of course the TK is not meant to harm Russell, it is merely a way to get him to stop moving lot enough for Ganondorf to hit him. Blast him into a tree, then commence with the stabbing. Or simply hold him still the way Zant did to Midna. That shuts down the speed advantage right there.

Not really what I'm going for, there.

http://i1349.photobucket.com/albums/p757/Scenario388/Zelda/Ganondorfbarrier_zpsdaa36d69.png

^See, this one establishes that Ganondorf can and has created barriers without any way out. Even with flight, the ceiling would stop Russel from going anywhere.

http://i1349.photobucket.com/albums/p757/Scenario388/Zelda/HyruleCastleintwilight_zpsdebee272.png

^This one, however, shows that Hyrule Castle, inside the barrier, was shrouded in twilight. This not only proves that Ganondorf can call down twilight without Zant, it also means that he does not have to steal the light from a light spirit in order to do it. Lanayru was there, and despite the light still being there, Ganondorf shrouded Hyrule Castle in twilight. This also mean that Ganondorf can cover the battlefield with twilight if he so chooses, thereby turning Russell into a spirit or Shadow Beast. Thus, he wins regardless of Russell's speed.

The Scenario
It's no different from your claim of "weakness exploitation" for any time Russell was less than spectacular. Fact is, the Sages hurt Ganondorf before the Triforce of Power awakened, so it was before he gained his durability. Therefore it is irrelevant to the Ganondorf in this thread, as he does have the Triforce of Power now. Similarly, the Master Sword is explicitly his weakness, no different from wood or silver for Russell. Ganondorf being hurt by a weakness hardly reflects badly on him, and we have seen what non-weakness weapons have done to him. The Light Arrows could only slow him down, and the Fused Shadows failed to harm him.

Further, Midna is not as weak as you seem to think she is. Even in her imp form, she has a Fused Shadow as her helmet, and it lets her do this:

http://youtu.be/iHmXfDapEik?t=24s
http://youtu.be/2WRosjJkefM?t=10m

That Hair Hand of hers is part of the Fused Shadow.

These bits are all that is required to prove my claim.

http://i1349.photobucket.com/albums/p757/Scenario388/Zelda/tpmidnasattack_zps9a244301.gif?t=1376381912

Ignoring everything else, even the castle explosion, we only need this moment right here. Midna hits Ganondorf with the same attack that shattered the barrier around Hyrule Castle. That's it. Even based only on that, no castle, no timing shenanigans, only this right here, and it still proves that Russell cannot hurt Ganondorf at all.

We see that the Light Arrows have physical forms, and they are quite sharp. That isn't pure magic. Finally, and I really feel it needs to be made clear or at least summarized, your argument of what hurts Ganondorf being "two swords and wolf's teeth" is a gross oversimplification completely devoid of any context whatsoever. So I feel this bears repeating, as many times as it takes.

1. The Sage's Sword hurt Ganondorf before the Triforce of Power awakened in him, and before he had any Twilight powers. It is irrelevant to current Ganondorf.

2. The Master Sword is Ganondorf's explicit weakness, it is "weakness exploitation," if you will. It was created by gods and can counter the Triforce in addition to dispelling magic and being the Blade of Evil's Bane.

3. Wolf Link is a Sacred Beast powered by the Triforce of Courage, an artifact equal to Ganondorf's own Triforce piece, that has already shown the ability to harm evil creatures on contact.

4. ALL THREE OF THESE are magical or divine in nature, with associations of destroying evil and affecting other magic. Heck, they're all "weakness exploitation" to Ganondorf's Triforce given durability. The Light Arrows, while similar, just aren't as powerful as the Master Sword or Triforce, but they still have some small effect.

I'm not saying these are stronger than a castle buster or anything, just that, because they are a weakness, they can simply bypass Ganondorf's durability in a way that the Fused Shadows or physical weapons just can't. I'm not saying these are the only things that can hurt Ganondorf, either. If you hit him with something bigger than a castle buster, it doesn't need to be holy to hurt him. All I want to get across here is that Russell does not have any holy weapons, so he must overcome Ganondorf's durability the hard way, which he is simply not powerful enough to do.

And he tossess a massive iceberg across the room in doing so. This alone is more strength than any character on True Blood has ever shown. It would take someone picking up and throwing a car to even come close to Link's level of strength, but that still wouldn't enough. Link can use the Ball & Chain to break the same boulders that the bombs are needed for, and he demolishes them with pure strength.

The fact that there is even a contest is a telling sign that Ganondorf and Link are near equal. Twilight Princess Link is one of the physically strongest Links there is, the others are usually much weaker than Ganondorf. Still, Ganondorf can win the swordlock, and the struggle establishes that they are comparable, and that puts Ganondorf above every strength feat in True Blood. It does not matter how easily Russell threw Bill, because in the end Bill weighs exactly the same as a human would, and the strength required to throw him is nothing compared to Link. Even if Link needs the Iron Boots to brace himself against a roll, he is still picking up and throw an armored monster made of rock, who also has super strength. He is still tossing a massive iceberg across a room. Link's strength is measured in triple digit tons, while Russell is throwing around a few hundred pounds.

There is no comparison. In a direct contest of strength, Ganondorf would crush Russell so hard there would not even be pulp left. Russell needs his speed just to stay alive in this fight, because he has literally NOTHING else going going for him. Ganondorf has the strength, durability, magic, and weapon advantages, it is not possible for him to lose here. Russell has the speed, but all he can use it to do is run away.

Too bad about that inescapable barrier.

Now let's not ignore the beginning of the video here. We see how emotional Russell Edgington is due to the circumstances. Let's first look at his words just prior to daywalking for the first time in thousands of years. Around 2:16 into the video.

" My hands are shaking. I feel like a little child. Thousands of years of night. You can't know.

^^Now let's take into consideration the gravity of the situation from his perspective. He's literally crying and his hands are shaking due to the emotional response he's having to being able to day walk after thousands of years being confined in darkness. Then as he is enjoying these precious moments of just being able to stand in the sunlight he sees Eric is burning. Eric reacts quickly catching him off guard due to the circumstances while using silver to exploit his vampire weakness. This is not the same as a standard fight.

Silver: Any contact with silver will burn and melt the surface of the vampire it touches.

Here is an indicator of a fair fight between the two outside the crazy circumstances of the video Scenario endorses.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxQQWRHwDmM

1. In the beginning we see Russell engage Eric. At around 43 seconds in we see where he puts Eric Northman. Russell can easily destroy Eric in a fair fight which is the point.

2. 2:55 to around 3:01 in we see Russell say to Eric, "Did you ever stop to wonder why I didn't kill you, when I could have so easily."
Eric's response is,"I'm still wondering actually."

Eric acknowledges Russell can kill him easily in a fair fight hence the circumstances or the situations in which he has attacked Russell. They were all surprise weakness exploitation attacks which caught him off guard.

Yes, they all move in a blur like speed. Despite the special effects not being different its been states that the older the vampire the faster and stronger. That's established TB mythology. It is in no way, shape, or form comparable to vampire speed. We don't even see vampires striking some of their victims as it is that fast. On the matter of Ganondorf we see just a bull rush and can clearly see every part of his body during this blitz unlike with vampire speed. The one Sage is killed but the others quickly come to their senses and react via the Twilight Mirror and banish him. Just give each of these two separate speeds the eyeball test. It is pretty obvious.

I don't see the relevance in this fight to this at all. You are just shoving hyperbole down my throat by emphasizing words like "sacred beast," or "divine artifact." Protecting Link from Twilight doesn't really have anything to do with his power or strength level. He can just resist this certain effect dur to protective magic but this says nothing about his power level as a Wolf. Link is blessed with courage by the Triforce to face the overwhelming odds against him. Typical hero business.

Well, this really is a case of abc logic. The comment was more or less about multiple Shadow Beasts being prevented from him. He is not a warrior and is unsure about his odds against them. Again, this is nothing to write home about.

Link needs Midna's help to defeat them.
http://zelda.wikia.com/wiki/Shadow_Beast

This is why they are a pest to defeat and why Midna is needed to help Link out.
If Link defeats all Shadow Beasts in a group but one, this remaining Shadow Beast will revive its fallen brethren with a piercing cry. In order to defeat them successfully, Link can transform into Wolf Link and use Midna's help to damage all enemies within a small radius.

So you see why the bombs wouldn't be as effective as it depends on the proximity of defeating them all together. That's why Link has such a huge advantage here due to Midna's assistance.

The bite is not stronger than a bomb. That's ridiculous. That's like saying smothering someone with your hands over their mouth and nose is more powerful than a bullet since thats always kills a person while a bullet doesn't always necessarily kill when it strikes. Link and his Midna assistance is more effective against the Shadow Beasts due to one reviving the others if they aren't killed properly.

The Triforce of Courage does not amp his power it amps his courage. They each embody the aspect they represent. Russell's fangs nor does his strength have to be holy to hurt him. That's ridiculous. Russell has proven himself to be strong enough based off his feats to hurt him let alone with an open wound. Abc logic does not apply. Ganondorf has never tanked a bomb to his chest of person so acting like he's impervious to this based off the effectiveness of Wolf Link's and Midna's coordinated attacks is preposterous.

quanchi112
http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=sppv_lzpxfA
"Something appropriate to his level of power.that is once again the show creators describing the overall power level of Russell in this scene. That's indisputable and is right after the True Blood episode.

I also pay close attention to Russell's words regarding her as being "turbo charged." She also said she was going to banish him to another realm. Her blasts were meant to banish the vampire to another realm. So they weren't of the physical blast kind which we see later on.

Yes, the blood of the Fae due allow them to daywalk and special resistance to weaknesses. This is really neither here nor there as Russell won't be just allowing Ganondorf to attack him. This is how Russell acted off Faerie blood which makes him high.

I disagree. He just had time to recover since Link quit attacking him. Ganondorf did not die and changed shapes. We don't see another wound inflicted until another sword is plunged into his body. He can recover if no fatal wounds occur and if he has the time necessary to recover. Link did not press his advantage or deal a fatal blow until he plunged the Master Sword into him.

Russell lowered his guard due to wading through the Faeries blasts while high off the Elder Faerie he consumed. Eric also came out of nowhere so again the context makes it clear. Bill is no threat to Russell just like the Faeries were not. He knows his enemies and is faster and strong enough to dominate them. The Authority were following protocol and used silver nets via weakness exploitation. Russell is also opposing powerful vampires right after he staked the Guardian, Roman in that scene. Russell did not lower his guard in either of those scenes. Russell overpowered Bill easily. Russell was facing the Authority's troops using modern technology and weakness exploitation to catch Russell after he easily overpowered Eric Northman.

What's ironic is Ganondorf is stated in the game as arrogant or blind to any danger.

-- But he was blind... In all of his fury and might, he was blind to any danger, and thus was exposed, subdued, and brought to justice. --per Twilight Princess

Russell blitzed the Faeries but they caught him with their blasts right beforehand. I have already proven that weaker beings have hurt Ganondorf so it is silly to assume Russell Edgington cannot when his body destroying feats are accomplished easily and quickly.

It is a physical blade with magical properties. The Master Sword can be parried throughout the game and is used to impale Ganondorf. This is the bottom line hyperbole aside. Not a random blade by any means but every sword used against Ganondorf has impaled him. If you want to back your claim that swords break off against Ganondorf's skin then you need an example. The fact is wolf's teeth and two swords can and have hurt Ganondorf.

The difference is the light opposes the Twilight realm aka it's opposite. The reason it so effectively hurts Midna and the Shadow Beasts is due their being the polar opposites to the world of Hyrule. The Light Spirits already defeated the Fused Shadows which Ganondorf also defeats. Ganondorf's magic is greater than both of their opposing magics. Russell Edgington's physicality and speed are a different animal entirely. In terms of magical users it usually comes down to who wields the superior magic since that is where their might comes from. The Triforce of Power is superior to the Fused Shadows and the Light Spirits.

In 5:12 of the video we see why the light is clearly so effective against Midna or fellow descendants of her banished tribe.
"It was another world entirely. The antithesis of Hyrule, where the sun shines bright. Its denizens became shadows that could not mingle with the light.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=2WRosjJkefM&t=10m%5B%2Furl%5D& amp;desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3D2WRosjJkefM%26featu
re%3Dyoutu.be%26t%3D10m%255B%2Furl%255D

So you clearly see why this is more effective than when used against Ganondorf. Ganondorf is not a denizen of the Twilight Realm and can mingle with the light. This is clearly effective against beings from the antithesis of Hyrule more so than other beings.

The Triforce of Power does not make one invulnerable or unbeatable. We clearly see him injured by two swords, wolf teeth, and banished from the realm by the Mirror of Twilight. Now I know the Mirror of the Twilight is not relevant to this matchup so you might be asking why bring it up. The answer is simple. I bring it up to illuminate my point that it is ridiculous to assume the more powerful character always wins. The only thing which matters is formidability and how certain characters stack up against each other whole acting in character.

The difference between Link and Russell is quite obvious. While many might be in awe of Link's strength feats there is a clear difference in what Russell brings to the table as opposed to Link. Speed. The greater speed the greater the force.
As mentioned in the previous part of this lesson, momentum is a commonly used term in sports. When a sports announcer says that a team has the momentum they mean that the team is really on the move and is going to be hard to stop. The term momentum is a physics concept. Any object with momentum is going to be hard to stop. To stop such an object, it is necessary to apply a force against its motion for a given period of time. The more momentum that an object has, the harder that it is to stop. Thus, it would require a greater amount of force or a longer amount of time or both to bring such an object to a halt. As the force acts upon the object for a given amount of time, the object's velocity is changed; and hence, the object's momentum is changed.

To Russell Bill was a known nonthreat. Russell knows perfectly well Bill poses no threat to him in a fight. Russell is both faster and stronger with the same abilities. Ganondorf is an unknown threat. Russell won't approach him the same as he is not aware of his abilities nor would he underestimate an unknown. Ganondorf on the other hand is blind to any danger. Ganondorf was completely arrogant to Link who was an unknown threat. We see Russell Edgington is cautious against the Faerie Elder who is an unknown threat. He cleverly uses his speed to his advantage and once he has his opening he kills her quickly.

Russell's feat shows considerable strength to merely shrug his shoulders to launch Bill that high into the air. Russell has show the strength to effortlessly toss Ganondorf based off his strength feats and Ganondorf's weight. Ganondorf won't ever be able to restrain him since he is too slow nor is he strong enough anyways.

Yes, Russell is toying with Bill who again he has complete knowledge of. Russell knows Bill poses no threat to him in a fight and merely toys with him. Russell does not toy with those such as the Faerie Elder with the power to banish him.

Ganondorf is hit by slow moving attacks as well in one on one fashion. Russell Edgington was fighting against powerful vampires amongst a prepared team using modern weapons while initiating protocol in dealing with vampiric threats. That is not relevant to a one on one matchup. Russell's attention again is just on his opponent. He does not have to worry about Eric Northman and a tactical team with modern weaponry designed for vampiric weakness exploitation.

quanchi112
The collection of feats proves he's fast and superhumanly strong. You cannot witness him slap powerful vampires heads off, casually rip out spines from people, and casually palm cars to come to the conclusion he is not superhumanly strong. He also toys with known threats such as Eric Northman and Bill Compton. Russell knows he can kill them easily. Russell has no intel on Ganondorf and will not take him lightly. This isn't Russell going up against a confirmed weaker vampire.

Yes, his speed is something that Ganondorf cannot account for. I agree. I disagree that he lacks the sufficient strength necessary to harm or kill Ganondorf. Ganondorf can resist powerful magic which packs a punch. At no point in the game does he resist attacks of a physical nature. Two swords and wolf's teeth clearly affect him. Russell is not bringing inferior magic to the table here. Russell is bringing speed and strength which equals greater force than what has hurt or killed Ganondorf in the past. Russell can also bite into his flesh and drain him. We have seen Russell use both avenues of attack in order to kill his opponents.

I disagree. Obviously. We have seen teeth bite into him prior to. We have never seen a physical object break itself into his skin. We have seen him resist inferior magical force before but that is not the same thing as a physical attack. The reason I supplied the insect or wasp breaking into the skin of a person was to show how possible this in despite a vast difference in terms of strength. To an insect lifting 45 lbs. alone is something hundreds of insects would lack the strength to do yet they can pierce a human's skin. I am not saying the difference in strength between Ganondorf and Russell Edgington is like my comparison. What I am saying is that if an insect can break into a human's skin despite the strength and weight difference it is outright ridiculous to assume Russell Edgington cannot break into Ganondorf's skin looking at all the evidence of these characters.

Ganondorf has not disintegrated another being outside the Sage who was comprised of magic. If you recall my images from earlier showing the clear differences in the magic and the flesh comprising them. Ganondorf did not disintegrate Midna, Link, or anyone else save the magical Sage. If he could disintegrate Link or Midna simply by blitz then why not attempt to do so. To me it is clear that was only effective against inferior magic. Ganondorf also lacks reflexes to account for Russell in the first place.

What I find truly amusing is that the Twilight barrier prevents the light which plays right into a vampires hands. They don't want sunlight around them. It is a weakness. This is only how it affects Hylians when the Light Spirits light is stolen. Vampires cannot survive on their own in the sunlight so bring on the Twilight.

Here is a video showing a group of Resistance save Link despite Ganondorf's Twilight powers being in effect.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=LIgh4Vg-w8A

Even minus the video we see Midna, Zelda, and Link resist changing into helpless spirits. Vampires also function quite differently and are not from a world that can be unbalanced based off the Light Spirits governing it or preventing their light from getting in via the barriers.

Russell is too fast for the tk to be used. If it used in the same fashion it will just move him back. That push wouldn't ko Russell just because it ko'd an unamped Midna at the time.

Russell would not need to fly away though. He has enough room to move around on foot using his superior speed.

They are fighting in Hyrule field and that is plenty of room anyways to fly around even in your first image surrounding Hyrule Castle. Sadly, not relevant since we see him erect a barrier on Hyrule field.

Vampires are not dependent on sunlight nor is he from Hyrule who need the light from the Light Spirits. Vampires do not share the same biology as the Hylians. Pretty plain to see that with what we have covered.

I only cite weakness exploitation when it is clear silver or a stake was used while explaining the context of the scene in question. We never see an increase in durability just an increase in magical power. Ganondorf's magic resists the effects of the impalement. We see him later impaled and hurt by Wolf Link. So it is relevant since he is hurt on two other separate occasions other than the Sage one. Looking at the incidents here it is clear his durability never changes just the potency of his magic and it's abilities.

The Fused Shadows did not defeat him but that is inferior magic used against superior magic. We don't know if he was hurt to later ultimately win based off the thirteen seconds unaccounted for from the video. The Light Arrows are never stated to do anything other than slow him down because once again it's inferior magic when compared to the Triforce of Power.

The first feat is impressive in terms of a telekinesis feat. She then teleports it.

My point was not that Midna was not impressive at all minus her combined fused Shadows. I only meant that tk'ing this form as opposed to her monstrous multi armed form is not that big of a deal.

The second YouTube video shows off once again midway through it the weakness exploitation the Light Spirits have against descendants from the world of Twilight.

We see that she hits him with a magical weapon comprised of energy. We know the trident is powerful magic in that it destroyed the magical barrier which surrounded Hyrule Castle. I see it as being comprised of energy which breached the magical energy barrier made of energy which shut it down. This only proves what I have been saying the whole time. Ganondorf's magic makes himself more resistant to magical energy attacks as opposed to physical ones. The Executioner's sword p, the Master Sword, and Wolf's teeth have not anywhere near the level of power required to bring down a castle or destroy a magical barrier but they clearly hurt Ganondorf or Ganon's monstrous beast form. Magical energy attacks are the wrong way to come at someone wielding the magical Triforce of Power's magic. There is no proof that Ganondorf tanked the castle falling down on top of him or that Midna's actions of this attack single handedly did so either. Physicality is the way to go against Ganondorf.

The Light Arrows are made out of energy. We can clearly see that and the fact they are of a magical nature. I went on to explain in detail that the teeth and the swords while not completely comparable to wolves or swords in general still hurt him. I won't keep repeating myself at length over areas of this debate I have already gone over. They hurt him with less impressive feats than what Russell Edgington's hands have done to a body.

1. I disagree but have already explained it. We at no point see his body show invulnerability to any physical blade which comes into contact with his flesh.

2. Hyperbole aside I do believe the Master Sword has the proper magic going for it after the physical blade breached his flesh. It then dispelled his magic. Ganondorf can be physically killed though. We can't assume no limits fallacies or that he can survive from any kind of physical thrashing just because the Triforce of Power resisted one fatal wound which he never healed from. Russell can destroy his body, attack his wound which has never healed, or drain him with his fangs.

3. Yes, Wolf Link is a magical beast but clearly based off feats and portrayal as weaker than regular Link armed with his sword. The Triforce of Courage can resist the effects other magics but it does not amp his power. This Triforce grants him the necessary courage to undergo his quest. Each Triforce embodies that which it represents. Link while having more courage is able to face off against Ganondorf who has more power due to his piece. That being said neither are invulnerable to physical attacks.

4. I disagree. Ganondorf has amped power and magic due to his Triforce. His durability is not increased just his overall power and abilities. We clearly see physical attacks hurt him far more than energy attacks coming from weaker magics than the Triforce of Power. The Light Arrows would be more effective against a member of the Twilight outside of someone backed by the Triforce of Power. Ganondorf isn't from the world which is Hyrule's antithesis hence why he isn't as susceptible as Midna or someone else from Twilight.

quanchi112
Here is the problem with your theory. We do not have any examples of sheer durability against physical weapons. Ganondorf demonstrates a very high resistance to energy weapons magical in nature. That to me sums it up. Let me use a clear example to demonstrate my point we are all more or less familiar with. Take Superman for instance. We have seen bullets bounce off of him therefore we know bullets cannot harm him. He is invulnerable to them. Take Ganondorf now for instance. We don't ever see a physical sword bounce off his flesh. Therefore, you cannot claim he is invulnerable like Superman without the examples.

Conversely, we know magical attacks in general are more effective against Superman. Ganondorf seems highly resistance to magical energy weapons so one can logically claim he has increased resistance or durability to magical energy weapons. So my examples of both characters are of the exact opposite here. Superman is more durable to physical attacks but has a weakness to magical physical attacks whereas Ganondorf is more durable to magical physical attacks than just physical ones.

These are just more examples of Link's unquantifiable feats. Link proves he is stronger than Ganondorf. True Blood characters do not have to prove equal or so feats in strength. This is not a contest of strength. This is a fight. Superman is far stronger than the Flash. The speed of the Flash is the equalizer. So logically in a fight we look at the total picture just not unquantifiable strength feats as the end all be all factor.

Russell has shown himself by way of feats to slap a head off, rip a spine out, palm a car, drain someone of all their blood in moments, etc. He has shown feats sufficient enough to hurt someone more susceptible to physical attacks than magical ones. Link using a ball and chain is not relevant to Ganondorf in the slightest.

Speed increases the force applied and that is something once again which equalizes this feat fest you want to turn this into. Your case rests on Link's strength feats and Midna's feats of power in comparison to Ganondorf. Russell brings speed to the table unforeseen in Hyrule. That is the equalizer on top of Russell's superhuman strength.

Ganondorf ultimately loses to Link. I get you want to make this all about strength while pushing the rest of the Vampires attributes under the carpet.
Link's weight would not be that much greater than Bill's weight either. It is just body weight. We see Link needs to increase his weight in order to contend with the sheer strength and size of the Gorons through use of the Iron Boots. Link just relies on strength alone to beat Ganondorf which clearly shows a hierarchy of strength. 1. Gorons 2. Link 3. Ganondorf
This is not a lifting contest. It is about strength and if someone has the sufficient strength in order to hurt the other. We also cannot forget Russell's force is increased by his faster than human perception speed.
To me it is simple. We cannot just look at feats. The game makes it clear arrows, swords, etc. can damage Link. We know Link prevails but despite his strength lesser enemies are capable of hurting him with medieval weapons. I already posted the video of the Resistance saving him from the arrows around Hyrule Castle.

Well, at least I will give you credit for mentioning the speed. You left out healing factor, better reflexes, increased senses though. Russell's superhuman strength compounded by his above human perception speed will be more than enough to destroy Ganondorf's body which is being kept alive by his magic at the start of the fight. A glaring weakness exposed from the onset of their titanic struggle. It's like in nature when animals sense a weakness and pounce on it.

Yes, too bad indeed. Ganondorf is locking himself in against an opponent in the end he'd need to escape from. Irony.

One would think that faster reactions would mean faster processing speed, and therefor faster recovery from surprise. According to the given evidence, however, this would be wrong. Yes, Russell is surprised, that is what I'm saying. Russell Edgington is slower when surprised. That's the point here, I'm not trying to paint this as anyone's normal speed, just trying to establish that, when he is not prepared, Russel Edgington is no faster than a human. That is all it would take for Ganondorf to get a hold of him, and all it would take to lose here.

"Surprise weakness exploitation" isn't really what happens in cases aside from the Franklin one. There is surprise, which clearly catches them at human speed, and then there is weakness exploitation. Vampires do not move slower when there are weaknesses involved, their surprise is purely mundane.

I never said that the Triforce amps Link's strength in any way, and that is not relevant here anyway. The point is that Link's body is seen to be charged with magic, and we have seen that magic harm a Shadow Beast. Because Shadow Beasts are stated to be difficult to harm physically (being resistant to bombs), and we've seen a magical force from Link harm them, it's rather simple to conclude that the Triforce of Courae allows Wolf Link to harm them more easily. Plus, there's the fact with Ganondorf vs. Link, it's Triforce vs. Triforce. Again, we know the Triforce of Courage harms dark creatures, it's just one more example of a magical weakness harming Ganondorf.

I want to note here that in the scan provided (this one) the Shadow Beasts are noted to have attacked Kakariko in instances where there was only a single beast. We know that a single beast can't revive itself, yet they are still powerful enough to shrug off bombs, and require large groups just to take one. (Given that Barnes, Renado, and the kids are apparently the only ones left, I'm guessing the gang was unsuccessful.)

Further, explosives are probably the best way to take out multiple opponents. I mean, it's an explosion. Link only needs Midna's help while he's a wolf, as Hylian Link can spin attack easier.

The difference here is that suffocation is not the same force as a bullet. On is actual physical force, while the other is cutting off an air supply one needs to survive. In the case of a bomb and a bite, both are physical forces, one just happens to be powered by a divine artifact and the other is pure explosive damage.

All of the weapons that have harmed Ganondorf are magical in some way, whether it be from the Triforce of Courage, the Light Spirits, or the Power to Repel Evil. Further, Link being so strong actually hurts Russell's case here, as despite being super strong and wielding several of Ganondorf's weaknesses, it still took three separate fights to bring him down. Russell lacks both Link's level of strength and the holy weapons Ganondorf is weak to. Wolf Link's bite failed to kill Ganon, and the Master Sword is confirmed to have hit Ganondorf long before the final blow. Ganondorf is not exactly helpless in the face of weakness exploitation.

The Scenario
http://youtu.be/2WRosjJkefM?t=4m43s

"It's denizens became shadows..."

The Proto-Twili were not always weak to light, it was the Twilihgt Realm that gave them that weakness. Before that point, they were simply magic users, much like Ganondorf. Even without a weakness to light, they were still "chased across the sacred lands of Hyrule and banished to another realm by the goddesses." The Light Spirits still defeated them, and the magic that would become the Fused Shadows, so their power is not really in question. The Light Arrows are a powerful weapon, and they are still unable to damage Ganondorf, though they can slow him down. While powerful, both the Light Spirits and Fused Shadows are on a lower tier than the Triforce and Master Sword.

Ganondorf dodges arrows in his swordfight, Russell sands there and allows himself to be shot. It doesn't really matter what the protocol is, it's not like he was weakened or anything. I doubt flashing lights would disorient him him and the net being silver doesn't matter until it hits him. He was outnumbered and stood still so they could shoot him instead of actually escaping.

I don't deny that Russell is superhumanly strong. It's just that his degree of strength, being less than a single ton typically, is absolutely pathetic in comparison to Link. Even with multi ton strength and a weapon Ganondorf is weak to, Link did not kill Ganondorf in one hit. Russell has neither of those things, so it is highly unlikely that he can do so. Russell's strength is absolutely nothing compared to what has harmed Ganondorf in the past. The Sage's sword is irrelevant after the Triforce of Power, Wolf Link's bite hurts things that resist explosives which shatter boulders, and the Master Sword is the Master Sword. Not a single one of these is purely physical. All have Anti-Evil traits that Ganondorf is weak to. The Light Arrows and Fused Shadows fail to harm him, despite showing they can deal physical damage as well.

You can't just scale something like this up and expect it to remain true. A mosquito's proboscis can fit between individual cells to get at the smaller blood cells. Stingers are near microscopic and pierce by virtue of being so tiny that strength doesn't matter. In that case it is the surface area of the tip that is important, as it is small enough to get through. Scaling up doesn't work because you're losing the main reason stingers work in the first place: their size. Insects remain small because being small is the only way most of their biology even functions. Vampire fangs and human teeth are much larger and more blunt, requiring much more strength to do the exact same thing an insect can. When it comes to them, size is what matters.

Ganondorf has not disintegrated another being outside the Sage who was comprised of magic.

There is...not really any indication of this. They may not be human, but that isn't really a reason to say they're pure magic.

There is no twilight in this video, and I think there may be some confusion on the point. When Ganondorf cast the barrier around Hyrule Castle, he shrouded it in twilight. When Midna broke the barrier, the light returned and twilight dissipated. In the video provided the twilight is already gone, so there is nothing to prove or dispute here. We already know that Twilight affects all creatures inside it.

Well, Gorons don't share Hylian biology either, and they are still affected despite being rock monsters. So are Zora fish people. And Bokoblins, too. Kargarocs, Deku Babas (they're plants), and everything else are affected. Don't see why vampires are exempt from this. Even Twili could be turned into Shadow Beasts.

Magical in nature, but to say the Light Arrows are non-physical when the Light Spirits clearly are is going to need something backing it up. Take a second look at Zant vs. Lanayru and note that the Light Spirit crashes into the wall and displaces water when moving. Further, Zelda can hold the Light Arrows in a bow, and they wouldn't need to be sharp if they were just energy blasts. There's been a claim that the Master Sword's powers don't work until after it has stabbed someone, but there is no evidence to that effect and it directly contradicts the statements about it. It's a magic sword, it's Ganondorf's weakness, even in game in doesn't kill him in one hit when wielded by someone stronger than Russell will ever be. Russell has harmed bodies that don't have durability, he's not strong enough to bypass Ganondorf's tanking ability.

The Scenario
1. Disagreeing does not change facts. Something that hurt Bruce Banner isn't going to hurt Hulk. Hurting Tony Stark is harder after he puts on the Iron Man armor. Something that hurt Ganondorf before the Triforce of Power awakened cannot be used as an example of something hurting him in a fight where the Triforce is active. Frankly, it is dishonest. Even so, immediately after Ganondorf gains the Triforce of Power, he pulls the sword out like it's nothing. It doesn't hurt him anymore. There, resistance.

2. The Master Sword is shown to dispel magic from a distance, long before the physical blade touches anything, and it is stated to cleave evil power. The claim that the Master Sword must touch something before its powers start to work is completely unsupported, and directly contradicts the evidence.

3. Wolf Link bites through the Shadow Beasts that resist bombs, and his strength is a match for Beast Ganon. Even as a wolf, Link is stronger than Russell. Plus, we see the Triforce of Courage harm a Shadow Beast as he transforms. Link's teeth have a magical component to them.

4. Again, disagreeing does not change the fact that all the weapons shown to strike Ganondorf are magical. Not a single one is purely physical, and 2 of them are wielded by someone an order of magnitude stronger than Russell anyway. The Light Arrows and Fused Shadows still fail, and trying to separate magical and physical damage is a lost cause when magic causes physical damage.

If Ganondorf has a resistance to "magical physical attacks" and no examples of purely physical attacks, that is a clear indication of still resisting physical attacks. Magical enhancements do not tend to make a weapon weaker. In fact, resisting magical weapons is better than resisting purely physical weapons, and there is no purely physical weapon for you to compare this to. That means there's no example of him being hurt more by a physical weapon, so there is no argument. Ganondorf is unharmed by several magical weapons. That is a fact.

Link's strength is not unquantifiable. Dangoro and Blizzeta are clearly in the double digit ton range, and Link tosses then. That's far above anything of Russell. Now, the reason I bring up this strength is fairly simple: Link has scored hits on Ganondorf with this strength, with a magical evil's bane sword. Multi ton strength with even a non magic sword is far above Russell's few hundred pounds of unarmed force. See, even with Master Sword canceling the Triforce of Power, Ganondorf is surviving strikes that would bisect a human easily. Russell has only harmed humans and vampires with human durability, and Ganondorf is physically far beyond both.

As fast as Russell is, he still can't actually hurt Ganondorf. He's what, 180 pounds moving at 200 or so mph? That's still not going to reach iceberg toss levels, much less the amount of damage a sword adds.

They're not really relevant to the fight, though. Once Ganondorf gets his hands on Russell, the vampire will be too exploded to regenerate or the Sage's Sword would prevent it. Enhanced senses and reaction time only let Russell avoid death a little longer. Once again, Russell's hands down best feat is stopping a car that had already hit the brakes, and tipping it somewhat. That is absolutely pathetic compared to what Link has done, and Link cannot defeat Ganondorf without magical assistance. It really does all come down to Russell's strength, and in the end he simply isn't strong enough to hurt the guy tanks castle busters.

Russell needn't worry. The Twilight will take of him.

quanchi112
"You and me together, at last."--Russell Edgington

Summation

1.Speed-This is Russell's ultimate trump card. He's so much faster than Ganondorf or anything he's experiences this is a huge advantage. How can Ganondorf use his strength when Russell can zip behind him and around him before he can perceive what is happening.

Instantaneous Speed - the speed at any given instant in time.
Average Speed - the average of all instantaneous speeds; found simply by a distance/time ratio.

Speed is directly proportional to distance when time is constant: v ∝ s (t constant)
Speed is inversely proportional to time when distance is constant: v ∝ ⅟t (s constant)

We have seen Russell use instantaneous speed to achieve his feats. I posted this feat earlier in the debate but I want to emphasize it at the end.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DjIJ2WOHYPY
^^At the 17-18 second mark we see him cover 30-50 feet of distance and then disarming Jason Stackhouse.

3:33-3:34 in we see Russell Edgington's speed can make another fast vampire look slow by comparison. Russell uses his speed to get behind him before he can react. This does not look well for Ganondorf as he cannot account for the speed advantage. Ganondorf has no feats of reacting to anything even close to this speed.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=FnJa9z_FQNQ

2. Velocity-the speed of something in a given direction.
Average speed is the rate of change of distance with time.
Average velocity is the rate of change of displacement with time.
Distance is a scalar quantity that refers to "how much ground an object has covered" during its motion.

Instantaneous speed is the first derivative of distance with respect to time.
Instantaneous velocity is the first derivative of displacement with respect to time.

I put up the definitions but they are not really necessary to my simplistic argument. Russell's force is greater due to the velocity which will be coming in the direction of Ganondorf.

3.Healing Abilities-This is another ability Ganondorf simply does not have. When gunshots to the head don't so much as inconvenience a very young vampire who heals from it quickly you know you are in trouble. This means damage accrued during the battle can be healed from. A gunshot to the head is usually fatal in human beings but to vampires it can just be referred to as a "heated" argument. Ganondorf lacked the healing abilities to his major wound which happened many years ago to this very day. Once Ganondorf takes damage it is there to stay when it is of the body damaging variety. Russell Edgington is an expert when it comes to damaging a body.

4.Superhuman Strength-This is of the superhuman level that ripping a spinal cord out is easy to pull off. Russell Edgington has strength sufficient enough to hurt Ganondorf based off of the evidence. We have seen weapons and what not hurt him far less impressive than Russell Edgington's feats. Russell Edgington can and has played with a human body like you or I can play with a small twig. Despite all of Ganondorf's strength or Link's for that matter they have never destroyed a body of flesh in this manner. There is a reason Ganondorf wields a sword as does Link. They need them.

Ganondorf couldn't just kill Link by touching him in the same manner he did against the magical Sage. That much is obvious. There is no protection either. Link clearly has to defend himself and can be killed by Ganondorf's sword or magic . I don't for one think Ganondorf will lay a finger on him but just in case you come to the conclusion he will there is no evidence he can destroy a body of flesh. Midna's body was not disintegrated either. Food for thought.

5.Perception-In the video of Eric Northman perceiving the bullet while being fired and reacting after it was shows another level of perception. In Hyrule we see nothing resembling bullet time. This is what a vampire is capable of not even half of Russell Edgington's age. Once again the older a vampire is the stronger and faster. This level of reaction is something there is no evidence Ganondorf even fathoms let alone can react to. There is no evidence since the fastest thing we see is arrows from this fictional universe. How can Ganondorf win when he cannot even perceive Russell's faster than bullet time movements. The answer is rather obvious. Ganondorf can't beat Russell.

6.In Character-The blurred lines of any debate but for me the only way to debate. Both sides are attempting to convince you of how a certain character reacts in a fight during a given situation. I emphasize the word situation for a few reasons. To me context is everything.

So from my opponents point of view Russell is arrogant and takes his superiority for granted leaving him open for mistakes. That is fine and dandy but he is leaving out the context of those situations. Russell is acting on the knowledge of his opponent. Russell knows his vampiric opponents are weaker than he is. He knows it as a fact. In the first battle against Bill he is toying with him. He was going to kill an opponent he could afford to toy with but he senses his lover Talbot has been killed. He then leaves overtaken with grief. Understandable and not relevant here as there is not a side story taking place with people he cares about the same time he is fighting his opponent.

Take for instance his death now. I have cited the actual film makers explaining that he is in fact lowering his guard on top of the fact he is high off of Faerie blood. Eric Northman is nowhere around and senses Sookie's fears as Russell is closing in no them and there is nothing the Faeries can do to stop him. Eric comes at this most opportune moment. Again, irrelevant to this debate. Firstly, Russell won't be high off of Faerie blood or ecstatic since he just drained one. Secondly, Russell is not fighting henchmen or anyone else other than Ganondorf. Thirdly, Ganondorf does not have the speed to come out of nowhere at this rate of speed. Finally, Eric used weakness exploitation which is not available in this scenario.

Conclusion-After you've connected the dots in my argument the answer is pretty clear. Russell Edgington wins. Russell can perceive at a much faster, higher level. If he is struck he can heal on his own from most attacks. He has the strength to easily rip both vampiric and human bodies apart. Think about the sheer force and strength required to rip someone's spine out or slap decapitate a vampire's head off. He does these things with minimal effort.

What good is Ganondorf's supposed strength if he can't resist someone due to the fact he cannot perceive what angle they are even coming from. Keep in mind most of his linked strength feats are Link's not his. We also know Link wins a contest of strength against Ganondorf proving himself to be stronger. The velocity Russell will be directing at Ganondorf at any given moment creates much greater force. Ganondorf has no experience with dealing with someone with this kind of speed and perception. Russell is ruthless as well and there are enough examples of him killing in a single attack to ram that point home.

Ganondorf's durability is not enough to resist Russell Edgington's velocity and strength in unison. Ganondorf has more experience against magical wielders. Ganondorf has resisted energy weapons with no hint of being defeated. That being said physical weapons with magical properties, the Wolf Link's teeth, and the Executioner's sword have clearly been more effective than the former. Without any examples of him being invulnerable to physical weapons or attacks we cannot assume he does. As I said in one of my opening posts. It is all about what you can prove. He has not proven swords bounce off of Ganondorf's skin. The force required to break into skin must be greater with duller objects than a needle or sharp teeth. Russell Edgington has faster than bullet time speed. If we look at Russell's feat of palming the car without any speed the answer smacks us right in the face. Russell can hurt Ganondorf which means kill him.

Ganondorf has never fully recovered from his attempted execution sword wound. The damage he suffers here physically can be magically resisted but there can only be so many holes in his body before he perishes. Ganondorf cannot survive decapitation. There is no proof he can. Ganondorf cannot survive having all his blood drained either. There are a multiple of ways in which Russell can physically kill him other than the one option I listed above. Lucky for Ganondorf it will be over quickly. Russell eats him.

Oh, sweet merciful ****! That was delicious!--Russell Edgington

Good god, this is longer than expected. Ya'll needed a lower post limit.

Apparently I'm judging. Give me the weekend.

I will try to have my vote in by this weekend. My clients have been sending me a lot of work. I apologize for the delay.

I am in no rush. Take your time. Whenever you are ready.

Full disclosure: I've never watched True Blood. The only thing I know about Ganondorf is what I've seen in the Zelda games. I know nothing of Zelda lore aside what's shown in games. The last Zelda game I played was Twilight Princess, about 5 years ago.

Opening posts: Both of you did a good job showing the powers of your characters. The links for vids and gifs were especially helpful. However neither side had a game-plan, so I was left basing everything off the posts.

The debate: The first back and forth was good with new points and counterpoints. The debate basically went on with the same back and forth, barring some new items, for the rest of the thread.

In character: I don't think either Russell or Ganondorf would start off going full out. From what I've seen in this thread, they'd posture, talk some smack and let things progress. But both are "bad guys", so I don't see either holding back or not using everything at their disposal to win.

Weakness exploit: Ganondorf doesn't have wood or silver and Russell doesn't have divine, blessed, mystical or magical artifacts/weapons. I think this is important to note.

Character stats: Russell seems to have a clear speed advantage. Ganondorf seems to have a clear durability advantage. Strength seems like a wash. Link had a Triforce shaped birthmark, and was chosen by the gods to destroy Ganondorf. He was given powers and weapons along the way. Russell seems exceptionally powerful, even among vampires. So Link hurting Ganondorf or Russell getting surprised seems appropriate for the plot's sake.

The fight: Russell would probably end up zipping around Ganondorf looking for an opening to deal damage. I could see Ganondorf getting increasingly frustrated and possibly making a mistake for Russell to exploit. The problem there is that I just don't see Russell dealing enough damage to Ganondorf without specialized weapons specifically designed to destroy evil. The sting, speed, evade tactic will work only for a short time. I don't think Russell could do for enough damage to get past Ganondorf's superior durability. At the end of the day, Ganondorf has shown the ability to damage/destroy large areas with strength and his "powers'. Russell's speed won't save him from that amount of power.

My vote goes to The Scenario

Haven't forgotten. Judgement soon.

Ok, sorry for the delay...

Excellent match. I'm not a huge nerd for either series, but I've played a fair number of Zelda games, and I've been an on-and-off fan of True Blood. So this match was a pleasure to read.

As most of my judgments go, what follows is a stream of consciousness as I read through the thread. My opinion may alter as the fight continues.

Initial edge to Ganondorf. That's some crazy versatility in the OP.

Quan rightly called Scenario out on a couple embellishments, including occasional amps Link gets from various items. Not everything is under his own power.

Russell is definitely faster. Quan is sticking to his guns there. Scenario doesn't have much of a counter. Strength is trickier, but I don't see it as a deciding factor.

No one is hypnotizing or possessing the other. Interesting abilities, but silly in this context.

The Zelda games are more mythological than anything...tough to find exact power levels. I don't necessarily buy the castle explosion, but I'm definitely buying Ganon's overall damage soak. It's impressive.

I have to assume both could be hurt or this is a moot fight. It's more an issue with Ganon, who may in fact have several damage immunities, but I don't see the proof.

The barrier and tk from Ganon are key points. If Scenario hadn't kept driving home the tk angle, he wouldn't have had a counter to speed. As it is, blurred speed is great and all, but a tk blast could definitely tag and/or immobilize Russell at least for a while.

In the end, I don't see Russell getting through Ganondorf's damage soak before a combo of barriers, tk, and other attacks takes Russell out. And even with healing, once he's severely hurt, the ball stays in Ganon's court unless he's dumb enough to let up on the attack until he finds a way to win. With silver, wood, and possible magic-based powers hurting him, I do think he'd eventually go down.

Vote to Scenario.

Quan actually maximized his character more. Scenario left some versatility on the table, like the intangibility in the OP, which he barely used after mentioning it. Knowing what I know now, it seems like it was an uphill battle for Quan, who made the most of his opportunity but couldn't overcome an inherently more powerful character. Video game logic didn't help, because things like disintegrating pillars by running through them is something that's incredibly hard to match in a live-action TV show.

Good job to both.
