If this has been discussed LMK where to find it. I searched but could find no topic. If everyone noticed the darkside users of the force use different powers than the light side. If this holds true. Then Force choke is a darkside power. Luke force chokes two gamorreaon guards on his way into jabbas main audience chamber. Someone try to explain this one to me.

Well, Force Choking isn't necessarily an Evil Force Power. He didn't use it to kill them, only to get them out of his way. It's nothing different then for example throwing something with the force at a guards head to knock him out cold.

He was not using the darkside. All Jedi are trained in the different force powers. Including the electricity. Thus Yoda knew to deflect the electricity dooku threw at him.
I think he was using darkside powers and continued to do so up untill his duel with Vader at the end when he goes into a rage and cuts of Vaders hand, then looks at his own robotic hand its like a visual sign of, if you continue down this path you will end up like this...thus the reason he drops his saber and refuses to fight the emperor
Jedi don't practice lightning or choking. They practice defense. Just because Yoda knew how to defelcet lightning means nothing. Lightning is a physical entity. It's just electrons flying through space at high speed - Yoda just uses the force to move it away or neutralise it.
The movies haven't shown a Jedi using lightning - so they don't use it, simple as that.
Sidious says it himself "The dark side of the force is a pathway to many abilities some consider unnatural".
Force choke is a dark side way of using the force. It's just using the force to constrict arteries and blood vessels. No Jedi would ever use that, it's such a painful, terrifying and slow way to kill someone.
ROTJ should have really made it clear whether or not Luke killed the guards or simply choked them to sleep. A Jedi "sleeper hold" is acceptable, but ROTJ makes it look like the guards are dead, rather than asleep.
Superfly is right. Force Chocke is an offensive aggressive move. I do disagree with the Gamorrean Guards. i think they looked more asleep but that just my opinion. Also they did not attack Luke but only block his way. If they had atacked him it would have been different.

Yeah, we have to believe that Luke choked them out and they were put to sleep.
It really should have been made clearer though. Just a quick shot of one of them snoring or at least breathing heavily would have done wonders to 100% clarify the scene.
Force choke? I thought he simply gave them a push and willed them to sleep. that doesn't even resemble a choke. As for other darkside powers, It was my impression that the use of lightning is not a lightside power at all and is something completly unacceptable for Jedi. Yoda mentioned this in ESB-Knowledge and Defense, Never for attack.

First of all, jedi are taught to use different kinds of powers. In "A New Hope", we see Ben Kenobi use a force heal on an unconscous Luke. Jedi know how to use force choke but normally choose not to use it. It is a bit of an offensive weapon but so is a blaster.
spoiler
In Episode 3, General grievous gets killed by a blaster that obi-wan wields. Jedi use whatever means possible to eliminate danger.

It is a poorly done scene I will agree. Lucas and the film writers should have made clear in Return of the Jedi if Luke was merely incapacitating the guards or killing them through a force choke.
