Morlun was only powerful because every punch that hit Spidey was his strength times 100. His powers only work on those with Spiderman's "blessed gift". So Lizard alone takes it, or even Dr. Octopus. Wikipedia's power description is not correct. The powers could only be absorbed by those of the Totem. Normally, his strength(said by JMS) is just like class 10 or around there.

not entirely sure if that's true or not we havent seen morlun fight anyone else he could have the ablity to drain the life out of any being which would explain why simms said that he sometimes fed on humans to sustain himself

Trust me, it's true. That's why we never saw anyone else fight him. It's because he's only thinking of surviving. If he can absorb any life force, why would he only go after Spiderman and not the Hulk or Thor? It's because Spiderman's special genes are a match to what Morlun absorbs. He fed on certain humans because either a) they were much more unique than thought or b) Morlun would inject them with it and let grow from there to feed. Both were ways he absorbed humans(Dex was a part of the injection answer).

Nah man, I have to disagree with you here, Morlun is definitely well above class 10.... he's at least class 50 going by his feats

I don't think he's class 100.... but he certainly seems to be around 50 minimum

Are you kidding me?

Morlun destroys these guys. Easily.

i would say that your partly right if it wasnt for the fact that simms did say that beings like morlun could survive off of ordianry humans for a while and during spider-mans first encouter with morlun he attack a random human on the street and started to absorb her which proves he can absorb anybody it's just not "as filling" as morlun would say

Those are all feats that have been done by Dock Ock, Venom, Green Goblin, Rhino, ect. at one point or another. Plus, a bunch of these are after touching(absorbing powers from) Spiderman. So of COURSE his power would increase.

Rhino could have easily replicated the strength feats as he's close to class 100 and I clearly stated I estimate Morlun to be around class 50

I don't remember ever seeing GG, Venom or Doc Ock casually swat aside a 2 ton projectile flying at their head... or stroll (not pummel) through a steel reinforced wall.... and GG or even Venom wouldn't get back up from a 30 story Spidey accelerated face-to-the-pavement dive nearly as quickly as Morlun did there

you're overestimating a lot of people's abilities

Considering Venom got back up from practically getting KILLED by Juggernaut and Green Goblin surviving his Whopper Bomb easily, I don't think so.

Exsqueeze me? I know plenty about Morlun. And he would destory these guys. Rhino would give him the most trouble just because of his durability.

He's far stronger than all of them. Lowest possible is Class 75. But I believe him to be closer to around class 100. Especially considering that Spidey said that Morlun hit harder than Hulk.

He's far faster than all of them.

He's far more durable than all of them.

He can drain their life forces.

What more do you want?

Morlun wins 10/10.

Then you're wrong

Venom got up ... eventually, he didn't bounce right back... and that "The Madness" story had Venom out of his mind half the time due to toxins or parasites or something that he had picked up somewhere. Venom can take a hell of a lot... but he can still be stunned ... and a lot easier than Morlun by the looks of it

GG's durability has always been fairly consistent and he's never bounced straight back from anything as traumatic as face planting into the road at over 100 mph

A Whopper Bomb destroyed a Zilla-sized building, and actually took it without any big scratches. You call THAT consistent? If so, he would kill Morlun. Venom didn't bounce right back up, and neither would Morlun. That beating was more than enough to turn almost any Marvel character into paste.

Which of those feats lead you to believe Morlun is class 50 Scoob? There is nothing there that Spider-man himself couldn't do (strength wise that is)... and he isn't class 50.

It's not the plain feats themselves.... it's the total ease he has in performing them.... he didn't even have to break his stride to get through that wall...

http://img363.imageshack.us/img363/8778/morlun037pz.jpg

Spidey would've at least had to exert himelf and hit it a couple of times.

The other wall was steel reinforced:

http://img388.imageshack.us/img388/9492/morlun063xx.jpg

He is seen walking casually with bits of it still falling from his shoulders.... no effort whatsoever.
___________

http://img388.imageshack.us/img388/9303/morlun054tm.jpg

Again... no effort to go through the wall.... I have comics where Spidey is desperate to get out of a basic house wall and takes more than a few punches to achieve it

And the Dumpster:

http://img363.imageshack.us/img363/3351/morlun043co.jpg

those things weigh around 2 tons and he brushed it away like it was a feather blowing past his face

And how many times have you seen people just walk through this much webbing?

http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/5067/morlunweb3pi.jpg

Even the Hulk (albeit Professor Hulk) took longer to go through that much webbing

everything there shows he's far above Spider-Man in strength and durability

Also the complete lack of injury from the face plant and gas explosions were very impressive

By the way... what exactly is a "whopper bomb"?
