this is spawn after he lost his godlike powers and this is darkness after alot of time learning to use the powers of the darkness the fight takes place at night from 7 pm to five am the next day
Spawn who is the flagship character and comic of image can do basically anything with his suit EXCEPT it has a time limit i dont know if the limit still exists but beside the limit he could do basically anything not on a level of a devil of one of the 9 circles though
darkness he can make ANYTHING he wants out of darkness BUT he has to know how its built, he can also summen things that past darkness users have made, including tenticals, demons, he can make guns, wings, he usually makes body armour, he has a place made out of the darkness and it moves through time and space i think, hmmm oh he also made a girlfriend for himself to get around the no sex rule
in this forum spawn has only 3'rd level powers but no limit and the darkness has a great degree of mastery over ihs powers but not total mastery because that might be overkill beside that the fight takes place at night as stated above.
Sorry everytime I read the words "the darkness" i think Charlie Murphy lol. Hmmm... making a gf for yourself thats much better power than most have in comics.....

i dont know who would win at there peak thats a amazingly tough decision but this is third age spawn and this is jackie at his current level of mastery over the darkness but that darkness that you mentioned sounds bad ass "holding the stars in place" SWEET so why the **** is witchblade so popular if all she can do is make pointy objects that squeeze and cut? CAN SHE HOLD THE DAMN STARS IN PLACE
Your description of Spawn fit’s the 3rd age. He is First Age Spawn, minus the God Like or King of Hell era…yet he has no energy limiter.
On the other hand. Your of Darkness matches the one seen at the beginning of vol. 3 before he lost his power set. The one that can manipulate the darkness on a molecular level. Changing it into virtually anything, if he understands the know-how.

Matter manipulation. Tie
Well ok, here is the deal. No molecular reconstruction can be applied on Spawn since he can manipulate the atoms himself and can wield minor reality warping feats.
Summoning/Constructs. Edge Spawn
The Darnkess can summon an army of incredibly powerful darklings, yet Spawn could summon his Legion standing 5,000 strong.
Powers. Edge Spawn
The Darnkess can manipulate the Shadows. Spawn can manipulate necroplasmic magic, telepathy, empathy, command the Earth, command critters and animals
Durability. Tie
Small fire arms will do nothing to Spawn Symbiote. Nor will it do a thing to Jackie’s necroplasmic armor. However both have bin seen taking damage from heaver firearms. Not that it matters since both have insane healing abilities.
Regen/Healing. Tie
Spawn has recovered from goo like state, Spawn has even willed himself back into existence. On the other hand, the Darkness as long as he is in the shadows will recover its self atom by atom though dark matter.
Strength. Spawn
Spawn tosses building. Darkness has not shown this level of strength.
Speed. Tie
Despite being hit by bullets. Both have bin seen to dodge bullets causally. However Spawn counts, on a neurological symbiote that detects incoming danger similar to a spider sense.
Potential. - Tie
There is no define limits to what Jackie can do. Tales of the Darkness is Cannon, and it goes to show what the Darkness can do in real time. On the other hand, Spawn potential is near limitless. If Al was to embrace its power and symbiote in its totality. Its power would be on par with a Lord of Hell or greater. In fact, in the WildCATS/Spawn crossover (Cannon btw), its exactly what happened thanks to the pendent that induced his lust to embrace evil. Its how he defeated and decapitated Malebolgia.
Overall I deem Spawn the Superior.
Thank the Witchblade series, since it’s the reason we have the Darkness to begin with. No one really knows what the Witchblade potential can really do. So far Sara has only scratched the surface. We know its one of the 11 or 12 relics, that if united will grant the bearer omnipotence. Think Top Cow’s version of the infinity gems.
Besides raw power does not determine popularity. The art style, and plot is what drives the series. Witchblade is still Top Cow’s flagship title, the Darkness is runner up.
spawn has so many high level feats that are in chronologial,we cant go by "what will happen" so we assume that jackie doesn't have bad-ass star holding ability and is just a male witchblade. spawn 10/10
