Nah. They were just good buddies from the annihilation war. In that same arc Nova easily destroyed an ultra powerful skrull battleship that SS ran away from in fear. Nova outclasses him in every way.
But regardless, SS has tanked a star going nova with his foce fields and has absorbed and then released a star going nova with the HT's power. He can do the brain bubble thing, has the combined durabilities of the Thing and MF plus a decent HF and skrull's shapeshifting. He is a lot more violent than the f4 and uses his powers in very lethal ways, even mf's useless stretching has been used to slice and dice platoons. He isn't getting trampled by Nova.
It was #18. And it was the Worldmind's newest recruits who blew it up.
Where does it show being a ship that Super Skrull feared? As I recall in #16 they flew in right in front of the Skrull army, and Nova said they going to die. Super Skrull then starts choking Nova. He then blasts him away and hides him under an invisible shield.
I said that they were buddies in annihilation, not that the feat I'm describing happened in annihilation. It happened in the secret invasion tie in that you referenced.

I don't think that's gonna work, the brain bubble i mean.. a.) There's that armor suit, he's taken a few powerful blast without a singes and its supposed to keep the nova force in, its only natural that it is also able to keep energies out.. b.) even if SSkrull does manage to bypass the armor with his f-field, his got to contend with the interference of the nova force inside.. c.) Nova absorption abilities..
The only way SSkrull could beat Nova is to overpower him and that might prove to be quite a challenge.. I'd say split 5/5, my 2 cents..
Don't have my comics with me, but it was the issue where Nova responds to an 8x8 then gets jumped by a few modified Skrulls. Super Skrull came in and helped him out, ship came in, SS said "run! that's an <insert ship type here>" then Nova shrugged and went "Pow!", one-shotting the ship.
It's issue 16. Both were being chased by the Skrull ship. Nova wanted to fight, while SS questions Nova's decision to fight the the V'Rukk class attack ship. Nova comment's he's Nova and both split off in different directions where Nova manuvuers around and flies through it. Then SS comments that he "forgot how powerful you were terran."
After their showings in Annihilation Nova outclasses Super Skrull.
World Mind aid of Nova mid fight is too huge an advantage.
SS isn't going to slide one of his fingers down Nova's throat.
The fire won't do squat.
And Brain Bubbles will be negated.
And Rider would kick ass during melee combat....especially after being trained to fight at Destroyer level ability.
