It was explicitly stated that Nabu was the most powerful lord of order.

Most powerful doesn't always mean most formidable though.

Meh, he still seemed superior to Shazam, though.

I'm undecided as to who to give this to but I'm leaning towards Nabu.

Nabu.

Shazam's best feats require that he's in his place of power, ie. The Rock of Eternity. Nabu has no such restrictions.

Yes, by far. At least for Post Crisis. I wouldn't rate him over Mid-Skyfather myself.

Tis a shame he seems like a very interesting underutilized character. I also hate the sh-- out of the reboot.

As a big Captain Marvel/all things Shazam related fan, the Wizard himself is pretty underwhelming. He has impressive implied power as far as his relation to the Quintessence and the fact that the Rock of Eternity is essentially the conduit to most of Earth's magical energy, but his actual feats aren't that great.

Shazam at rock is probably superior. Shazam before he retired to rock is probably superior. He's mostly implied power but I still give him the nod over Nabu. Shazam is kinda the guy every other lord of order tends to at least somewhat defers too and I think Nabu only qualifies as strongest due to Shazam limitations. It's mostly personal opinion and conjecture he doesn't exactly have the most stellar list of feats considering he kinda just sits around.

Just as Fate is greater than Captain Marvel and Black Adam, Nabu is Shazam's superior.

Something I just thought of...

When Spectre arrived at the RoE to kill Shazam, he (Shazam) was already quite weak after having just battled Mordru:

"The wrath of God fast approaches, and what shall it find waiting to oppose it? The shell of a foolish old man with barely enough strength left to stand."

But despite his weakened condition, Shazam was still able to fight Spectre on fairly equal footing, until Spectre recharged himself by absorbing magics from the RoE itself:

Pretty impressive showing for the old man, imo.

It is impressive, but while he was weakened by Mordru, he had been prepping for some time. Not sure how that balances.

The damage their battle caused to the Rock of Eternity. Mordru repaired it.

That's why it wasn't all f*cked up when Spectre got there.

Okay, it just didn't (from the scans) seem all that massive. But cool thanks.

^ As scans 2-4 demonstrate, they were blasting holes/craters all over the RoE.
