Would have expected nothing less then an Iron Fist would be required to take out a Doom Bot. Shang Chi is better then I thought.
Not sure any Cage can do the same, except maybe under Bendis, and not any easier..

But that Heroes for Hire was was awful, and made Shang out to be an anal retentive hypocrite.
Impressive feats, but that characterization won't win him any fans..

Cage. He's more than a physical match, and having trained with Danny for years, he knows how chi works and how to fight a chi enhanced martial artist. Plus he's got access to brick attacks like thunderclap.
All that training didn't stop Danny from handling him even without using the IF, though. Shang's close enough to Danny's skill level, where Cage's training shouldn't help too much.
And the fact is, Luke's still a lot slower, and his steel hard skin isn't enough to tank the kind of damage a chi user can dish out.

Thunderbolts. A little lazy to post scans, but it's the one where Danny was kidnapped by Osborn's group. He used the IF in the fight, of course, but was causing decent damage without as well.
How durable is a diplomat Doombot? About as durable as the real Doom, right?
And I did read that story where Doom owed Cage money, but Cage had to put a lot more work into it to damage Dooms armor. Basically, he just kept hammering away at the same spot, which apparently makes Cage the smartest brick in the MU because Doom claims no one's ever tried to do that before.

Doombot durability goes up and down, but while a lot of the time they're as formidable as the real doom, I'm not sure they're as durable. As his durability is a mix of armor and magic.
And the only fight I can think of between Cage and Danny in Thunderbolts was a simulation.
As for Shang doing any damage, as I said, Cage takes hits from high end guys all day. He just recently fought Namor underwater and did alright. As well as having some good feats in Age of Ultron. In a forum fight, I don't see Shang doing too much damage.
Sim Cage actually broke his neck, when Danny shook off the brain washing enough to ask for his help.
Here's their real fight, where Danny draws a bit of blood, without channeling the IF (Which, admittedly, he uses for the majority of the fight, even channeling it through his feet.)

And for Danny, this isn't an isolated case of one writer overrating him, either. Without using the IF, he's managed to cause damage to War Machines armor, and even KO a character with stats on par with Cage called Warhawk. (Claremont was a ko writer of this story, who previously wrote Cage tanking Danny's best shots, including an IF. And yet, only a few issues later, Claremont also wrote Cage struggling to fight a group of robots that he couldn't dent with his best punch, and that KOed him a few times, while Danny could tear through groups of them with an IF. Make of that what you will.. Personally, I think Claremont was working under some kind of editorial meddling, based on the majority of his writing regarding Iron Fist..)
Of course, IF isn't Shang Chi.. So this argument largely depends on whether you believe they have similar capabilities without the IF or not.
King, if you haven't read the original Power Man and Iron Fist run, I think you'd like Mary Jo Duffy's writing. She wrote a very strong Cage.. She even had Danny tell Cage he could never actually defeat him. For all intents and purposes, Danny was just a character in Cages story.
