It's true. That was pre his upgrade to his invulnerable body.
Classic puck was shrunken by magic and in reality was originally 6'2". It was a stupid story and mantlo when he took over from Byrne though his constant pain that Byrne wrote had to have a story behind it. In reality those afflicted with dwarfism are regularly in pain and bryne was trying to do a true representation and mantlo took that as puck had to have a magical demon inside him.
When the demon was removed he turned into an 80 year old man that was 6'2" as the demon gave him long live. He eventually gets experimented on by the master and Sasquatch to return him back to a dwarf (but now superhuman) to retcon the dumb story.

Does he even do that enough to warrant it as a viable tactic? Serious question as I can't recall him doing that. He's more of a straight brawler and can't recall him going the BFR route. Doesn't mean he doesn't just not familiar with it
He would do it if, as all of you assert, he has no way of harming Puck.
His abilities enable him to deduce what Puck can do. His computer will then crunch the numbers, and assuming carver is right (and he's my bestest buddy), then the computer will say no, nothing your fists/feet can do.
Can someone please explain where current Puck stands power wise?
The only Puck I remember was the one from the late 80s early 90s. He was a dwarf, super agile, fast, an experienced fighter, super strong, and extremely invulnerable. He was like Spider Man (strength/speed/agility) + Juggernaut (invulnerability) + Cap America (decades of fighting/combat experience) rolled up into one little package.
This dude was shrugging off stray blasts from the Avengers/Red Guard/Alpha Flight fight vs the Collective.
Barring BFR, there is NOTHING Midnighter is doing to that version of Puck save getting his ass beaten brutally.

I was under the impression that the OP wanted to know which one of these characters would win without the bfr tactic. With it MN could call on this tactic to defeat guys well above his weight class. This however would never explain how well he'd actually do in a confrontation. Why even bother arguing MN vs Moonknight, Spider Man, Iron Man, Zealot, etc? You'd never really have a true answer to the question.
From the sounds of it, Puck is way above his weight class. Completely immune to all physical harm from Midnighter, skilled, superstrong etc.
Midnighter has an advantage of his cheating ways, and his tech. Puck has every other advantage. This is why we argue in character, as it gives people like Mids a fighting chance. Otherwise, you might as well just stack stats against each other.
Also, how do you arrive at that impression? OP makes no mention of it.
Intuitively, I guessed that Nuul may not have known that Puck was so much above MN, which is why he made the thread in the first place. But I could be wrong. He may have thought that this would have been a great fight without having MN resort to the Door tactic. BTW, I'm all for the in character approach.
